Message from the Principal
Dear Kennedy High School Parents and Community,
Last week was an exciting time at Kennedy High School as we celebrated Homecoming with great spirit and enthusiasm. Our students dressed up in creative costumes, cheered on our Fighting Irish at the green-out game, and danced the night away at the Homecoming dance. It was a memorable week filled with school pride and community.
As we move forward, I want to remind you that Monday, October 7th, is a non-student day. Our staff will be engaged in professional learning activities on campus to continue their growth and development. We look forward to welcoming our students back on Tuesday, October 8th, for the start of the second quarter.
I'd like to take this opportunity to remind our seniors that the Fall 2025 applications for California State University campuses are now open. On that note, this week marks the beginning of our College & Career Week, which will feature special lessons, presentations in classrooms, ITV announcements, and lunchtime activities designed to promote college and career. We are looking forward to seeing you at the College and Career Fair on Tuesday, October 14th, at the Anaheim Convention Center. Bonus - there is transportation provided from Kennedy HS to the Anaheim Convention Center! Kennedy students who visit our booth and complete a digital scavenger hunt will have a chance to win a free Winter Formal ticket!
On Friday, we will be hosting our first RSVP (Raising Student Voice and Participation) Summit. This is an opportunity for students to work together to ensure that our school aligns with their needs and interests.
Finally, I want to highlight some of our upcoming athletic events. We have a Home Varsity Flag Football game against Godinez High School on Monday at 3:15 PM, a home Varsity Girls' Volleyball game against Calvary Chapel HS on Tuesday at 4:30 PM, another home Varsity Girls' Flag Football game against Fullerton HS on Wednesday at 3:15 PM, and a Varsity Girls' Tennis match against Buena Park HS and a Varsity Boys' Water Polo game against California HS on Thursday at 3:15 PM. The week concludes with our Fighting Irish Football team traveling to Fullerton High School.
It promises to be another exciting week at Kennedy High School. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff.
Go Fighting Irish!

Tier 2 clearance allows volunteers to participate in prolonged student contact such as overnight trips with students, but requires a tuberculosis test and fingerprint. All other general volunteer participation would be Tier 1.
If you are interested in volunteering for any program on campus, you must sign up and attend an orientation held by the district. Please see the flyers below for more information (you can click on the flyer).
