Dear Edmondson Parents and Guardians of 2nd-5th Graders,
Thompson’s Tech4All 1:1 program supports the Strive 2025 Strategic Plan by equipping students with the digital tools they need for their future. By providing access to these resources, we’re creating learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential.
We’re excited to have your child experience a summer filled with learning and growth! To ensure it is smooth and successful, here’s what you need to know about the digital components for summer.
Chromebook & Power Cord Distribution
Students in grades 2–5 will take their Tech4All Chromebook and power cord home for the summer. These items will be sent home with your student on Thursday, May 22. This device will be essential for accessing summer learning tools such as Sora, BrainPop, and i-Ready (All of these are accessible through the ClassLink portal.) Find more details about digital tools on our website.
Guidance and Family Resources
We encourage families to explore digital well-being tools to help set healthy tech use habits at home. Resources from Securly and Common Sense Media, including The Smart Talk and Family Tech Planners, can support these conversations.
Responsible Use Policy (RUP)
Please see our Responsible Use Policy that families acknowledged during Annual Family Check In. If you have not completed the Annual Family Check In, please do so, as it supports all of our digital systems and communications.
Continuing Learning Beyond Summer Programming
After Summer Scholars or other summer programming ends, we encourage continued learning at home! Check out our Summer Activities Guide for fun, educational activities—and share what you’ve learned for a chance to win a prize!
Tech Support
For any technical issues, I.T.S. is here to help! For phone support call our Help Desk at 970-613-7777, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can also visit our Quick Tips for Chromebooks page to get started. For in person support, you can make an appointment to come to the SSC building in Loveland or visit our mobile support van at a location near you - view flier with schedule!
Optional Device Insurance
To protect your student’s Chromebook from accidental damage, optional insurance is available. Sign up for prorated insurance for coverage through August 2025. Learn more and enroll.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting student learning. We’re looking forward to a summer of curiosity, creativity, and discovery. With your support, we know your student will make the most of their learning and technology tools this season! We trust you to take care of your device and continue to learn during the summer.
Device Return and Potential Charges
Students should return their Chromebooks and power cords at Back to School Night in August. If that is not possible, please send them on the 1st day of school. If devices and/or cords are lost or not returned, a fine may be incurred.
Opt Out Option
If you do not want your student to have their device at home for the summer, please contact your student’s teacher directly. If your student is attending Summer Scholars, their device will be sent home.

Required: Annual Family Check-In
hompson School District's Annual Family Check-In link for the 2025-2026 school year is now available on your Parent Portal.
This yearly update is required for every student enrolled in Thompson School District for the 2025-2026 school year. Parents/guardians in the student’s primary household need to complete the application by reviewing and updating household, emergency contact, student health information and permissions via the link. This information is used in the day-to-day operations of your child's school and it is imperative that it's accurate. Schools and district staff also use it to communicate important announcements and to reach out to you in cases of emergency.
Accessing the Annual Family Check-In Link: Annual Family Check-In - Thompson School District
1) Follow the instructions on the web page, to log into your Parent Portal account.
2) If you are not able to access your Portal account, please contact your student's school secretary/front office staff to request your username and/or password or contact the helpdesk@tsd.org or 970-613-7777
If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact your student's school secretary/front office staff. We greatly appreciate your support in ensuring that your students and family's information is accurate and complete.
Preschool 2025-2026
Are you interested in your child being ready for kindergarten? The Thompson School District's Integrated Early Childhood Program provides quality preschool experiences for three and four year olds at 15 different sites around the Loveland and Berthoud area.
If your child will be 3 or 4 years old by October 1, 2025, your child may be eligible to participate in the Thompson School District's Early Childhood Program. We ask all interested families to complete our Preschool Interest Form available on our preschool website. If you have any questions about our program, please call 970-613-5052.
Drop off and pick up reminders
Hug and Go Lane: Please do not park and exit your car in the hug and go lane. If you want to park and meet your student on the lawn please park in the neighborhood and walk.
Free and Reduced Information
For the 2024/25 school year, the Thompson School District will provide access to no-cost meals for all students through the Healthy School Meals for All program.
Research shows students perform better at school when they are not hungry. By providing access to breakfast and lunch for all students at no cost, we better support their learning.
Although all students will receive access to no-cost meals, it's still important for households to provide their income information when requested. Gathering this information allows the Thompson School District to receive the state and federal funding we qualify for. These funds go directly to schools to help cover the cost of meals and support after-school activities and other nutritional programs for students. Plus, qualifying households may be eligible for Summer EBT benefits, receive discounted or waived school fees, class materials, utilities support, and more.
Providing household income information ensures you and your school receive all available financial support.
The attachments contain more information and forms to provide your household income information. While the following pages may reference eligibility for free or reduced-price school meals, access to breakfast and lunch will be provided free to all students regardless of household income.
Our school meals follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. You can be confident your children are getting quality school meals while saving your family time and money.
