Morning drop off procedures
Thank you, parents, for your cooperation in implementing the new morning drop off procedures. These procedures are recommendations from FBISD police and traffic division due to safety concerns and congestion.
- Morning car riders will remain in the car line to drop off their students. Only families with school business should park.
- Only students will enter the building, unless you have business to address with a staff member.
- Car riders should not be dropped off on the street. There are staff members available in the drop off line to monitor their safe arrival.
- FBISD police stated "U turns" are illegal on Lake Woodbridge.
- When crossing the street, please walk to the nearest designated crosswalk for your safety.
We appreciate your help with this!
Notes from the Nurse
Healthy eating advocates often tell people to eat a variety of colorful foods. Making sure we have colorful foods on our plate is a simple way of reminding us that a variety of fruits and vegetables in our diet will give us the vitamins and minerals we need.
Next week we will be starting a MyPlate program to help our students learn about healthy eating habits. Using the MyPlate, children are encouraged to eat an assortment of colorful fruits and vegetables, whole grains, proteins from a variety of sources, low fat dairy, healthy snacks and to choose water over sugary drinks.
MyPlate Colorful Food Program
Monday – The food color of the week will be broadcasted on Monday morning announcements. There will be reminders on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Wednesday - Children should choose a food item of that color from the cafeteria menu or bring a food item of that color in their lunch from home.
Friday – The classsroom with the most children participating will have the fun of eating from a colorful MyPlate. The cafeteria staff will serve lunch to student from the winning classroom on a MyPlate. Children with lunch from home can transfer food items to a MyPlate. Children in grades 3-5 will also participate. Instead of eating from the special plates, the classroom with the most students participating will win a prize representing the food color for that week.

March 18 – green
