Making a Padlet
From your Dashboard, click + Make a Padlet
Choose Your Layout
A Wall packs your content in a brick-like layout.
A Canvas scatters, groups, and connects the content in any way.
A Stream streamlines content in an easy to read, top-to-bottom feed.
A Grid arranges content in rows of boxes.
A Shelf stacks content in a series of columns.
A Backchannel allows communication in a chat like environment.
Modify your Padlet
Change how your Padlet looks. Work from the top of the submenu, down to create your wall. Come back to this menu anytime by clicking the gear icon in the top right section of your screen.
Give your work a Title, Description, Wallpaper, Theme, Post Color, Font Style, and Icon.
There are also options to display the author's name above each post, to choose where new posts appear, to replace bad words with nice emojis, to allow viewers to comment on posts, to grade, star, upvote, or like posts, and to tag the Padlet to make it easier to search for.
Additional Notable Feature: Padlet allows users to “customize” a URL for free to share with students and/or collaborators.
Posting to a Padlet
Double click anywhere on your wall to add a "post" or "write" on your wall. Provide a name and/or post title and a description of what the post is about.
Here you can also add URL's (including images, websites, videos, etc), upload documents or files from your computer, or take and add pictures with the camera on your computer or device.
In Addition
Share a Padlet
Click on the "Share" button for options to share, save, embed or export your Padlet. Make your Padlet as public or as private as you want. Add contributors and give them special access. Padlet even provides a QR Code to make sharing easy.
Copy a Padlet
The "Copy" option allows you to "Copy" a "Wall" with or without posts! Click the Remake to make a copy of a Padlet to use as a template for another own work.
Delete a Padlet
Remove a Padlet by selecting Delete in the top right corner of your screen when you click the More icon. It will ask you if you are sure that you want to delete and then you choose Yes.
You can choose to reuse a wall without deleting it completely by clicking Clear All Posts.
