As we enter our winter break, I want to wish every single Lincoln family a happy, relaxing, and joy-filled two weeks. Please take this time to celebrate your families and build traditions and lifelong memories. My boys are returning from hockey in New Jersey and I look forward to cookie baking, and hopefully some outdoor ice skating, and sledding this break. Happy holidays from my family to yours.
This past week we had many fun-filled celebrations across the school, including spirit week, movie watching at lunch, Grinch day, wrapping the week and final days of 2021 with pajama day, the culmination of our food drive, and classroom celebrations!
Our band and orchestra students did a remarkable job on Wednesday and Thursday showcasing their learning in the first return to in-person performance.

LOST AND FOUND
This is just a reminder to label all of your children’s belongings (hoodies, coats, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc). We have already had some items turned into the Lost & Found with no names on them. If these items are labeled, we can bring them back to your student’s class.
What is happening in EMPOWER?
During the end of November and the month of December, students in Empower will be experiencing new modules! The fifth graders will get an introduction to World Languages with our FLEX module, and our K-4 students will address a need in their community with our Make a Difference Module. See some of the photos of the work our students have done!
D303 is looking for Substitute Nurses!
Do you have a friend, neighbor or relative who has a nursing license
and is looking for work?
A D303 substitute nurse has a flexible schedule, an opportunity use their nursing skills
and work in any of our 18 district school buildings.
Many former D303 substitutes have gone on to become district employees.
Please share the following contact information:

Lincoln Elementary is creating online student art portfolios on Artsonia.com. Artsonia manages student art portfolios in a safe and educational manner, developing students' pride and self-esteem and involving parents and relatives in arts education. Your child needs your permission to create a digital portfolio of their artwork.
Parents/guardians who are new to Artsonia.com can find the Parent Code on the permission form that will be sent home with each student.
Artwork will be added during the remainder of the year for families to enjoy.
Please feel free to reach out to Lincoln's art teacher Mrs. Watts at
christine.watts@d303.org if you have any questions.
