SENIOR EVENTS
The Josten's representative will be on campus October 16 to provide information to seniors on ordering caps and gowns and other items for graduation.
Juniors will also meet with the Josten's representative on October 16 to receive information on ordering senior rings.
PICTURE RETAKES
Picture retakes will be on Thursday, October 24. This will be for any student who did not have pictures taken earlier this month or who would like to take their picture over again.
REPORT CARD NIGHT/OPEN HOUSE
We will have a report card night/open house on Tuesday, October 15 from 5:00-6:00. Parents will be able to pick up report cards and view student work at that time.
FCCLA MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to the September FCCLA member of the month, Zoe Criger. She has shown great leadership skills and is very involved in the FCCLA chapter activities. Thanks for being a part of the Eden FCCLA Beehive!!!!
SCIENCE PRESENTATIONS FOR ELEMENTARY
The Texas Wildlife Association will be on campus presenting science lessons for K-5th grade on October 16, October 23, and October 30.

Thursday, October 17--JH Football @Leakey 5:00.
Friday, October 17--Varsity Football vs Leakey @Eden 7:00.
UPCOMING BAND COMPETITIONS
The Big Blue Band from Bulldog Land earned a Division II rating at the Big Country Marching Festival on Saturday, October 5.
They earned a Division I rating at the Concho Classic Marching Festival on October 12.
They will compete this Saturday, October 19 at the UIL Regional Marching Competition in San Angelo. Good luck band. We hope to see you at the STATE Marching Contest!!
UPCOMING TEST DATES
We will provide an opportunity for all of our 10th graders to take the PreACT test on October 23.
All of our students 10-12 grade are invited to take the ASVAB test on October 17. The ASVAB test is an aptitude test used to identify a student's strengths and help them find a career that's a good fit based on their interests, skills, and strengths.
There is no financial cost to students for any of these tests if they take them at Eden High School.
END OF THE NINE WEEK GRADING PERIOD
Friday, October 11 was the end of the first Nine Week Grading period. Grades will be posted on the portal this week. Junior high or high school students who fail any classes will have mandatory lunch tutorials until the next grade check on November 1.
RED RIBBON WEEK
Red Ribbon Week will be October 29--November 1.
Dress up days for Red Ribbon Week:
October 29--Team up against drugs--Wear your favorite team jersey
October 30--There's no rhyme or reason to do drugs--Rhyme without Reason dress up (find a friend and dress as rhymes such as a napper and a rapper; Barbie and Safari; Egyptian Pharoah and Jack Sparrow).
October 31--We're not afraid to say no to drugs--Halloween costumes (no masks, no bloody or gory costumes, no weapons.)
November 1--We are growing up drug free--Dress as a senior citizen (Also senior night at the football game).
ALL COSTUMES MUST STILL BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE.
FLU SHOTS
STUDENTS WILL BE STUDYING THE CHARACTER TRAIT OF RESPONSIBILITY IN OCTOBER.
