PICTURES AND NEWS
PRE-TESTING PEP RALLY
Shortly before dismissal on Friday afternoon, the entire school gathered in the large gym to take part in a pep rally. The next week and a half will be focused on academic testing and the staff thought it would be good to do something fun as a whole school before this time period. The school band played energetic pep rally music on the stage as students settled down. Then, the 7/8 volleyball team took on teachers in a very competitive volleyball game in front of everyone. A half time show of costumed teachers entertained everyone. Guessing who was in each costume proved to be a fun diversion. Cheerleaders also came out to lead everyone in a chant of "Rock that Test". When the volleyball game resume, the score remained tight and it was anyone's guess as to who would win. Ultimately, it was the teachers who did but only in the last seconds of the game. The event finished with a song from the solar scientists about solar eclipse safety and review of test tips for the following week. People returned to their classrooms in a good mood.

Have you wanted to share with the school about your favorite book? Well you're in luck! If you go down to the library from 2:00 to 2:20 on Mondays and Thursdays you could be on the school podcast! Fellow students will ask you different questions about your book. If you're shy about your voice being recorded this might not be a job for you. We look forward to seeing you in the library soon.
