Don't Rain on My Parade
Dear Atholton Community,
Homecoming is over, but what a fantastic time it was. The hallways were decorated so well and the senior class deservedly finished their career as four-time hallway decorating champs. The outfits for Spirit Week were fantastic to see, especially for costume day and decades day (you definitely feel old when what you wore in high school becomes a throwback spirit day outfit). Our pep rally was such a hype up moment for students and staff on Friday afternoon. The breakfast was delicious, the game was a close contest, and students seemed to enjoy themselves at the dance. However, my favorite event had to be the parade.
Maybe it was because the parade got canceled last year due to inclement weather, but this Saturday's event was amazing. There was so much energy from the students and the spectators and the weather was beautiful. We had students, staff, community participants, future Raiders, and more all making the event a true Raider Nation celebration. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Can't wait to start planning for next year! But until then, let's bring that same level of enthusiasm to whatever event you attend this year.
Thanks to everyone who made this year's Homecoming a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you. Go Raiders!
Sincerely,
Nick Novak
Principal

Important Information-Reposted
Open Gym Reminders
Thanks to the parents who have helped with our Open Gym already. It's a big help having some additional support in the main gym. We have some additional dates to sign up for if you're free for 30 minutes-2 hours. Whatever time you can provide is greatly appreciated! Sign up to help here.
Morning Drop-Off Reminders
Our late to school line has been growing lately, so I wanted to remind folks to get your students on the bus when possible (ALL buses get here by 7:40am each morning) or get in the drop off lane by that time. 7:30-7:45am is the sweet spot to aim for to ensure your student isn't marked late. We will be cracking down on students who are late to school and they will be receiving consequences including lunch detention, after school detention, Friday School, and suspension of parking permit (for student drivers). Thanks for helping ensure your student is on time and ready to learn!

He charged the advisory group to consider every possibility and put any possible solution on the table in accelerated fashion.
Anyone who is interested in serving on this advisory workgroup should complete the online interest form by Nov. 1, 2024. A collection of stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and experiences will be selected from those who apply.
