Mrs. Marvin's Corner
Please welcome our new teachers to St. Mary School. Mrs. Sherri Metcalf will be leading third grade. Mrs. Metcalf is from Wooster and is excited to be working at St. Mary School. She has a history of working with children in Pre-K-3 Schools and before and after care programs.
Ms. Ashley Chittenden is joining Mrs. Veil in Fourth Grade. Ms. Chittenden has taught second grade and worked in intervention in another state. Mrs. Veil and Ms. Chittenden are excited to be sharing their love of teaching with your children.
Mrs. Cheryl Nicely joins us as our full-time Building Substitute. Mrs. Nicely lives in Wooster and is enjoying growing her small farm. Besides filling in for teachers who may need to quarantine or be out for Professional Development. During these unique times, she will provide consistency for our students when teachers cannot be present in the building.
Mrs. Karen Goldsmith will be joining the St. Mary Team as the educational paraprofessional in the primary grades. Mrs. Goldsmith substituted for Mrs. Hammond last year and her daughters are students at St. Mary School.
On Tuesday, we will be virtually meeting with the Wayne County Health Department and we will be sharing this information with you. Our goal is to remain open and to keep everyone healthy. Thank you in advance for your patience in these ever changing days.

St. Mary School Information
Since 1865, people have known St. Mary School students by their actions. This is because throughout our history, we have focused on building student’s character, based on the values instilled by the Catholic Faith, and a foundation of academic excellence.
St. Mary School provides a welcoming environment where families have the freedom to celebrate the faith. In a world of need, responsibility matters and strength is needed to serve our communities. It is our mission to develop students who have the ability to be mentors and leaders in the world. We recognize that each student is a unique gift from God and we individualize instruction to help them reach their full potential. We strive to promote an atmosphere that encourages a love of learning and provides children with a foundation of faith to balance and guide them for the rest of their lives.
