The Start With Hello program empowers students in grades K-12 to recognize loneliness and social isolation in their peers. Start With Hello Week raises awareness about social isolation and educates students and the community on how to prevent incidents of bullying or violence. Congratulations Keanan Roberts and Taliyah Kent
Students at Berea-Midpark High School earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs. High-achieving students from all 50 states and U.S. territories were eligible to apply to four programs: National African American Recognition Program, National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program, and/or National Rural/Small Town Recognition Program.
These programs celebrate students' hard work in high school and showcase their strong academic performance. The academic honors for rural area, Black, Indigenous, and/or Latino students are an opportunity for students to share their strong academic achievements with colleges and scholarship programs that are seeking to recruit diverse talent.
At Berea-Midpark High School, two students received the academic honor, senior Keanan Roberts and senior Taliyah Kent.
“We’re delighted to celebrate our students and recognize them for the remarkable work that they do which includes strong academic performances in the classroom and on College Board assessments, and AP exams,” said Susan Malone, coordinator of the school’s Realizing Your Potential (RYP) program. “These students stand up and stand out and are valuable assets to our communities and society as a whole.”
