We are excited to help parents streamline the absence attendance procedures for your child. You can always continue to call the attendance line to communicate absences or early releases, but you can now also utilize the Infinite Campus Parent App to submit absences. Please CLICK HERE to view the directions to submit absences online!

BMHS will hold Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, September 21st from 3:15 to 7:00 P.M. All parents are encouraged to attend and discuss your student's first quarter progress. Staff locator sheets and a school map will be available on the night of the conferences. To schedule a conference CLICK HERE.

Conferences will be held in person unless you click "ADD SPECIAL REQUEST" for a virtual conference. You must provide contact information for a phone or video conference for the teacher to contact you.

The Homecoming game will be held Friday, September 22nd and the Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, September 23rd. The dance will be held from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M., with doors opening at 6:30 P.M. The dance will take place in the BMHS Auxiliary Gym. Ticket sales will begin on Tuesday, September 12. Tickets are $10 and will be sold during Lunch and Learn on the second floor by the Auditorium. ALL PAST DUE school fees must be paid before a student can purchase a ticket. All students entering the dance will be administered a breathalyzer test before being admitted. Tickets will be sold in the Auditorium Lobby during Lunch and Learn ONLY. Guest Dance forms can be downloaded below, are on the Activities page of the BMHS website, or on the Activities Office wall. There will be a limited number of tickets sold this year, so make sure to get yours early!

Dances at BMHS are a privilege, not a right. Any student who receives an out-of-school suspension (OSS) will lose the privilege of attending homecoming.

BMHS Student Council is hosting a district-wide Candyland Themed Spirit Week in honor of Homecoming; Monday, September 18 through Friday, September 22. Monday is "Rolo"ver and get out of bed PJ day. Next up is "Ring Pop Tuesday", so dress in Red, White, and Blue. Wear green on Wednesday for "All Things Candy Apple". Then it's Twinning Twix Thursday. Finally, Friday is Taste the Rainbow with Titans Spirit Day and Color Wars!

It’s “Start With Hello” Week!

We are excited to share a fun and meaningful week of events this week with our students! The Start With Hello program empowers students in grades K-12 to recognize loneliness and social isolation in their peers. Start With Hello Week raises awareness about social isolation and educates students and the community on how to prevent incidents of bullying or violence. Attention Seniors:

• There have been numerous college visits scheduled so far. If you are interested, please sign up in Naviance. See Ms. Kronika in the Counseling Office with any questions.
• Dr. Gates from College Now is scheduled to be in the building numerous times over the next few months. Please go to the Counseling Office website under the School Counselors tab to get yourself scheduled. See Ms. Kronika with any questions.
  

Polaris Student Ambassadors:

The following outstanding students have been selected to be Polaris Student Ambassadors! These students were chosen by their Polaris teachers to represent Polaris Career Center at various functions throughout the year. Congratulations students!

Students at Berea-Midpark High School earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs. High-achieving students from all 50 states and U.S. territories were eligible to apply to four programs: National African American Recognition Program, National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program, and/or National Rural/Small Town Recognition Program.

These programs celebrate students' hard work in high school and showcase their strong academic performance. The academic honors for rural area, Black, Indigenous, and/or Latino students are an opportunity for students to share their strong academic achievements with colleges and scholarship programs that are seeking to recruit diverse talent.

At Berea-Midpark High School, two students received the academic honor, senior Keanan Roberts and senior Taliyah Kent.

“We’re delighted to celebrate our students and recognize them for the remarkable work that they do which includes strong academic performances in the classroom and on College Board assessments, and AP exams,” said Susan Malone, coordinator of the school’s Realizing Your Potential (RYP) program. “These students stand up and stand out and are valuable assets to our communities and society as a whole.”

The Education Foundation is having a Titan Tailgate and Kalahari Raffle on Friday, September 22 in advance of the Homecoming football.
