Principally Speaking
As we wrap up this incredible first year of reopening Fox Ridge, I want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. What a joyful, busy, and memorable year it has been!
Together, we’ve built more than a school —we’ve built a community. One that values kindness, growth, and connection. Whether it was helping our youngest learners find their classrooms in August or cheering on our fifth graders as they walked out during our end-of-year clap-out, your partnership has made this year a true success.
In these final few weeks, we saw that community spirit shine even brighter. Thank you to all the families who supported class picnics, helped with field trips, and planned meaningful celebrations for students and staff. Our teachers felt fully appreciated during the first week of May greeted by awesome doors, treated with some of their personal favorites and a delicious luncheon. Our annual Field Day was a huge success — full of smiles, laughter, teamwork, and, of course, the much-loved inflatable obstacle course! That special activity was made possible thanks to your generosity and support during our fall Runathon fundraiser and our PTO. What a great way to end the year on a high note!
On our final day, we came together for a joyful All-School Acknowledgement Assembly where we celebrated the many ways our students got involved and shined this year. We recognized those who participated in:
-
Run Club
-
Chess Club
-
Safety Patrols
-
Drama Club
-
Morning Movement
-
Girls on the Run
-
Student Council
-
Golden Paw Winners
-
i-Ready MVPs
We are proud of every student who took a chance, joined a team, helped others, or stepped up as a leader. These activities help build the strong, connected community we’re so proud of at Fox Ridge.
At the assembly, we also honored and bid a heartfelt farewell to our beloved reading specialist, Mrs. Kappele. Her dedication and impact over the past 20+ years in District 303, and especially this year at Fox Ridge, have been extraordinary. We wish her all the best in her next chapter and are so grateful for her many contributions to our students and staff.
As we head into summer, I hope each of you takes time to rest, recharge, and reflect on all the wonderful moments we shared this year. Thank you for believing in our school and for walking alongside us every step of the way. We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished — and we’re already looking forward to what next year will bring.
From all of us at Fox Ridge, have a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer. We are so grateful to be on this journey with you — and we can’t wait to continue growing together.
Rooted & Rising,
Growing Strong Together,
Always Fox Ridge Proud!

Fox Ridge Families,
I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Thank you for all of your support this year. For volunteering. For donating. For participating in events. And, most importantly, for your time and effort. Without you, we wouldn't have this blossoming school community or the robust PTO as it stands today. Let's do it again next year!
