Bear Happenings
August 22nd, 2024
Dear Bear Families,
Let’s ignite our Bear spirit! We are excited for the 24-25 school year to begin! We want to welcome all families back to Kellogg Marsh and give a special welcome to our new kindergarten families and all families new to our wonderful school. Our core focus has not changed: Students First, Every Day. Our continued goal is to develop meaningful relationships with all members of our school community and celebrate the amazing growth our students show. To continue our success, we need your help! We rely on you as parents/guardians to ensure your children are at school on time every day. Every school day missed is a lost opportunity to learn, grow, and build relationships. Attendance matters!!
We want to invite all Kellogg Marsh families to our Back to School Meet & Greet on Tuesday, August 27, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. There will be check-in tables for 1st- 5th grade classroom assignments in the gym by alpha order. After that, families can meet their child’s teacher, see their classroom, drop off supplies (optional), and walk the school campus. PTA will sponsor an ice cream social gathering outside on the playground. The Kona Ice Truck will be here to purchase shaved ice. Prices range from $5.00 - $7.00. Spirit wear will be given out to every student. Kindergarten will have their Meet & Greet on Tuesday, September 4, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
A strong school year needs a strong start. Our continued success depends on us all working together. We will provide a quality education focused on growth and achievement as a school. We need all our parents to have their children ready and on time for school each day so they can learn and live out our motto to Practice Kindness, Act Responsibly, Work Hard, and Stay Safe!
We are excited for a great year,
Admin Team
Welcome to Mrs. Alicia Carter
I am excited to introduce myself as the new assistant principal here at Kellogg Marsh Elementary. I am returning to the amazing Pacific Northwest after 2 years living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. As much as I loved the beaches, the mountains, hiking and friends have drawn me back. Previously we lived in Edmonds and Snohomish for over 20 years. I am loving Marysville, and all that this wonderful community has to offer.
I have a deep passion for education and a background in special education and building leadership. I look forward to partnering with you to support the growth and success of our students. I'll be at Kellogg Marsh on Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Friday working with Mrs. Moeller and the staff to ensure a positive and inclusive environment for all. I am eager to get to know you and your children as we work together to create a wonderful school year.
I look forward to meeting you on Tuesday as you come to the Open House. Please feel free to stop by anytime to introduce yourself and help me get to know your child(ren). I can't wait to meet each one of them.
