Our volleyball players have had a strong season. They won against Lott, Pillans, Calloway, and Barton. Volleyball player, Precious Sangual stated, βI feel very enthusiastic about our wins so far and I hope that we will make it championships!β Our Admirals have had lots of activities happen during this month, and we are so excited to see how the rest of the year unfolds. September 2024 Admirable Admirals
6th Grade
Β· Brinley Ryan β Brinley is a shining star in Peer Helpers and in History class. She goes above and beyond and works on extra tasks on her own time without even having to be sked. Brinley sees a need and gets to work taking care of it. We could not have pulled off our successful Social Emotional week without her leadership. She cares deeply about Denton and helping her peers, and it shows in all that she does.
Β· Marshall Hintz β Marshall tries his best everyday and is respected amongst his peers. He has quickly adopted strategies to organize his time. It is obvious that both his education and his soccer team are important to him and he does a great job balancing both commitments. He has a great work ethic and is extremely mature and emotionally intelligent. He cares about his peers but wonβt hesitate to set boundaries if they are distracting him from his work! Marshal is a very well-rounded student, and we are excited to see him grow as a leader.
7th Grade
Β· Aubrey Newton β Aubrey can always be counted on to get the job done. She leads others, asks what needs to be done next and gladly volunteers to jump in and help. It is also wonderful to know that the job will be done right, respectfully, and beautifully.
Β· Leo Dang β We are proud of how Leo is putting in so much effort into being a Peer Helper. He is working ahead, helping others, asking what more he can do to help, and working to keep others on task and motivated. He has embraced the Peer Helper skill lessons and content and is truly implementing it to help others.
8th Grade
Β· Brooke (Jaelyn) Wetzel β Brooke is a pleasure to have in class. She has really stepped up and grown in her confidence. She is always eager to help when anyone needs assistance. She is a problem-solver. She is a senior member of the yearbook staff and helps teach the seventh-grade students how to handle the camera with care and take photos. She is patient with them and models exemplar behavior.
Β· Harry Dwyer β Harry has made huge strides and has come a long way since first arriving at DMST as a 6th grader. He is open and engaged with his teachers and peers and his good-natured personality helps him shine, not to mention his hard work academically. We love seeing his smile and hearing his laughter around campus.
