Principal's Message
Hello Panther Families,
Beginning Thursday, September 12th, we will be on a minimum day schedule to accommodate Parent-Teacher conferences. If you have not signed up for a conference time, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Our wonderful PTA will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair from September 12 - 20. Students will be able to purchase books at a discounted rate. Let's encourage our students to read, read, read! π
On Wednesday, September 18th, we will have our first Red Carpet and Perfect Attendance awards assembly for the school year. Teachers select two students to receive an academic achievement/growth award and one student to receive a character/citizenship award. Students who have perfect attendance will also be recognized. As a reminder, if a student arrives to school late or leaves early, even if it is an excused tardy/early dismissal, they will not receive perfect attendance recognition. Thank you for your understanding.
We have very exciting news for Parkview, we were recognized and awarded the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Silver Award Recognition this year! Schools that focus on recognizing and rewarding students for their positive behavior and actions, with fidelity, are recognized by the state of California to determine if they qualify to receive this recognition. I am proud to say that due to the hard work of the Parkview teachers and staff, and the students support in demonstrating positive behavior we have been awarded this achievement! EXCELLENT WORK PARKVIEW! π
As a friendly reminder, to minimize disrupting student learning and required academic instructional minutes, students who forget their lunch can get their lunch from the cafeteria (it is free this school year). All other forgotten items can wait until the following day. Also, per our District Wellness Policy, no sodas or caffeinated drinks are permitted on campus. Thank you for supporting our students learning and wellness environment.

Parking:
As a reminder, there is no parking in the red zones, double parking, and parking in the SDC designated parking unless you have a placard. We need to keep everyone on our campus safe. Our School Resource Officer (CVPD) police officer will assist us in enforcing these rules as two are law. Thank you for your understanding and support in making sure our students and families remain safe.
We appreciate your support and understanding in making Parkview a safe environment for everyone.

The meeting will be held at the district office (84 East J Street, Chula Vista). Thank you to our new representatives who will be representing Parkview.

Student will practice how to respond and safe practices during a fire drill.

Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences...Thursday, September 12-19
Parent-Teacher conferences begin, we will be on a minimum day schedule from Sept. 12-20.
Panther Pride Assembly...Friday, September 13 ππ€
Every Friday we have a mini pep assembly for students. We focus on our school expectations; be safe, respectful, and responsible. Students earn Panther Pride tickets, based on how they are following the school expectations, during the week and we have a raffle every Friday. Students also wear their spirit gear. *The assemblies are only for students.
