On September 5,2023 P-EBT benefits for SY23 were issued to 62 children under age 6 on
SNAP and nearly 1,300 traditional students. Over the course of this week, 2023 Summer P-EBT benefits of $120 were issued to over 141,000 traditional students. These included students enrolled in June of 2023 in Special Provision 2 and CEP schools or those eligible for F/R benefits in non-special provision schools. All of these benefits became available
Friday, September 8. More information including the reconciliation application, and the application for homeschooled or fully virtual students is available at https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/ofi/programs-services/food-supplement
This website also includes information on how benefits are issued and how households can return the benefit if they do not want to. If you don’t want the benefits you can destroy the card.
REMINDER - PARENT SURVEY DUE OCTOBER 13th
Dear Parents/Guardians:
If you have not done so yet, please remember to fill out the caregivers survey for our school.
The survey is completely anonymous and brief; it contains 21 questions and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. You can take the survey online by using the following unique school link: https://www.pbisassessment.org/Anon/p0y101F4Y80 If you cannot access this online survey, please let us know so we can make sure you get a paper copy.
All your responses are completely anonymous. We have no way to connect you to your answers, and results will only be reported as group responses. There are no right or wrong answers. We just want to know about your personal experiences. Responses are housed securely in an anonymous format with the University of Oregon Technical Assistance Center projects for evaluation research purposes. All evaluation research projects are in compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, (343 CFR 99.31 (6)) and human subjects regulations (Protection of Human Subjects 45 CFR 46).
As you respond to each item, think about your own personal experiences as a parent, caregiver or guardian at your student’s school. Please answer all of the questions, or your answers won’t be recorded, but you can mark “I prefer not to answer” if you don’t want to answer a question about you.
We hope you will take the time to provide us with this valuable information. Feel free to call our office at 862-3254 if you have any questions. Each school’s total survey results will be used to inform and develop appropriate strategies, procedures, and/or programs to enhance our school climate. Thank you for your time and participation!
Sincerely,

Students with minor symptoms of illness (runny nose, congestion, headache, etc.) may attend school if they are feeling well enough to do so. Please reach out to me if you have any questions regarding illnesses or appropriateness of attending school
