SPRING BREAK IS HERE!! I hope you all are having a nice spring break with your family this week. Happy Easter next weekend to those celebrating! Next week, we are back to school on Monday, April 1st.

We are trying to really help the students focus on their learning as we finish out the 3rd quarter and start the 4th quarter the following week. We have a ton of really fun activities lined up during and after school, so please review the updates carefully to learn more how you can participate. I added all of the events and important dates for the rest of the school year at the bottom of this newsletter. Below are a few highlights to save the dates on your calendar. We have modified/added events based on parent feedback, such as a more formal 8th grade promotion ceremony. More information will be sent out as we get closer to each of these events.

Congratulations to the first ever TNS Soccer Team starting this year! We look forward to this season led Head Coach Rich Austin, Assistant Coach Megan Spaziani, and Volunteer Lindsay Steinbrunner. Starting middle school sports at TNS is a huge undertaking and only works with the support of our families and staff. Thank you in advance for all your support this year!

New Soccer Field:

We have a new soccer field lined up on the hill behind the BDHS turf field. The entrance to our soccer field will be on the access road behind the school on the left, between the custodial shed and the learning cottages. We will not have bleachers yet, so please bring lawn chairs as needed. We want to send a huge thank you to BDHS for partnering with us on this field and all their support!

Yearbooks are now on sale in Rycor (student quick pay). The cost is $22.

Elementary Spring Pictures will be on Monday April 8th. Individual and class pictures will be taken for all students K-5. Picture Forms will come home after we return from spring break.

Save the date for TNS STEAM/SCIENCE NIGHT on April 11th from 5:30-7:30 pm hosted by our Science & Technology Committee. There will be a ton of fun activities for all grade levels!

April is the Month of the Military-Connected Child and we are excited to recognize and honor the sacrifices that military-connected children make alongside their parents serving in the military. Please join us in special spirit days in April:

• 4/15 - Wear patriotic colors and clothing
• 4/16 - Hats off to our military - wear your favorite (and school appropriate) hat or head gear
• 4/17 - Wear purple to show your support of military kids!
• 4/18 - Wear camo like the men and women in the armed forces
• 4/19 - Wear red to "Remember Everyone Deployed"
