Shout Outs to.....
To: Jen, Brittany, Heather and grade 4 teachers for stepping up and subbing or taking extra students when subs were not available this week!
To: ILT for your continued efforts to push through the challenges of scheduling with me.
From Your Principal....
This week the PTA has celebrated ALL staff in appreciation of all you do everyday. I would like to add to the long list of reasons to be grateful for all our staff by saying that I can never thank you enough for continuing to focus on students and providing great classroom experiences under such challenging circumstances this year. You teach, but more importantly, you influence who our students will be in the future. Thank you!
I hope you have a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!

Important Information
From The Office
This is your monthly reminder that Short Leave / Additional Hours payroll forms are due to Mark this Wednesday, May 15th. Do you have an IEP meeting on the 15th? Fill out and leave the form on Mark’s desk before you go home!
3rd-5th grade Teachers
It’s almost Chromebook return season! Please read the following:
All 3-5 classes will need to make an appointment to bring their Chromebooks to the office. Brittany will bring the schedule to the May 14th staff meeting so you can select your appointment time. After that, you will find the schedule HERE. If you need to make a change, email Mark or Brittany and we will adjust the schedule. Return days will be June 10th – 12th, with the 13th available for last-minute, individual returns.
Starting with the end of this year, students will be charged for missing cords and Chromebooks. If you have “borrowed” cords to create a charging station in your classroom, please return them to the students (you all have charging carts!).
All students are expected to arrive at your appointed time with their Chromebook, Cord, and Case.
If you have a student who want to keep their equipment over the summer they must bring THIS FORM (signed by student AND parent) to the office during your class appointment.
We will be storing (current) grade 3 & 4 Chromebooks centrally this summer. Once class lists are finalized in the fall, we will re-distribute your (new) class to you.
Questions? Please ask Mark or Brittany!
Streaming Issues?
Adam, our awesome IT guy, wanted me to remind you that the network WILL SHIT DOWN if you try streaming from unauthorized services. IF this happens, you should quite the offending webpage and restart your computer to get back on the network. Do you still have a DVD you would like to show? We have a loaner DVD player! Just ask Mark.
If you have network issues that are NOT associated with streaming, please submit a ticket to IT.
District Print Shop Closing! (updated)
We regret to inform you that the district print shop will be closing. This decision is part of the district's necessary efforts to reduce the overall operating budget by $30 million.
Here are the key dates to remember:
Last day for print shop operations: June 30, 2024
Final day to submit new print requests: May 24, 2024
All print orders need to go through the web submission portal pubtech.pps.net. Staff can log in with their PPS account to access the portal. Due to the volume of orders, phone calls, paper via Pony, and email orders will not be accepted for the remainder of the school year. Orders will be prioritized for this school year or summer school. We will try to get any orders for next school year completed as time allows. If you have any questions about the status of a current print submission please email pubtech@pps.net all other questions should be directed to support@pps.net.
Llewellyn still has quite a bit left in our print budget for the 2023-24 school year. Let’s use it before the Print Shop closes! Now if a good time to print materials for next year! (Yes, Mark is urging you spend money at the Print Shop! Do it quickly before he changes his mind!)

Sorry about the late notice and THANK YOU for all the support. I wanted to wait until Stan Tucker's visit was over before adding something new, but I never hit send on this email, so a lot of good it did. Let me know if you have any conflicts and I'll make it work.
Thank you all, Treasa & Kari
Registration Open - Integrated ELD Summer Institute
We are excited to offer the Integrated ELD Summer Institute again this summer. This professional learning opportunity will occur over 3 days this summer. Registration is now open in Pepper. More information can be found HERE.
- Staff Meeting-May 14: Successful School Survey and more
- Successful School Survey-Open May 6th. See Kellie's email for more information.
- Fire Marshall- The list of corrections from the Fire Marshall are long. We will need to fix all items before May 20 when he returns. We will be charged $150 + $100 for every line item that is not fixed. This will come out of our school budget (which is not able to handle these fees!). I will come around to let you know if an item in your room needs to be fixed. For now, make sure all cords are covered that stretch across the floor, take all items off the Univents (heater), and move any storage furniture out of the hallways. Desks can remain on one side of the hall only. All decorative lighting must be removed (string lights-take away; lamps must be plugged into the wall or an extension cord with a surge protector). No curtains without proof of fireproofing.

May's theme is Perseverance.
It means continuing to work toward a goal even if there are challenges or setbacks as you work to achieve it. Sometimes we work hard and don’t meet our goals, but knowing we did the best we could do gives us a sense of pride and self confidence.
