A Message from the Superintendent
Happy summer!
Dear ACPS Students, Staff and Community,
As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you—students, staff, and families—for your hard work, dedication, and partnership. This year has been filled with meaningful learning, personal growth, and countless moments of pride and joy across our schools. Your resilience and collaboration have been central to our success, and I am grateful for the role you play in making our division a vibrant and welcoming place to learn and grow.
To our students: thank you for showing up each day with curiosity, kindness, and determination. You inspire us with your creativity and your commitment to building a better future. To our staff: thank you for your unwavering support of our students and families, and for the care and professionalism you bring to your work every day. And to our families and community members: your engagement and encouragement have made a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
To our graduating seniors: Congratulations! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and excited for the journeys ahead. As you move on to new opportunities, know that you always have a place in the ACPS community. We’re cheering you on and wishing you the very best in all that’s to come.
As we head into the summer months, I want to remind you that support doesn’t stop when the school year ends. Through the HELPme app, students, families, and community members can continue to access resources and support services, including help with food, clothing, mental health, and housing needs. Whether you're facing a challenge or simply need a little extra help, the HELPme platform is available year-round to connect you with local assistance in a safe and confidential way.
Looking ahead, please note that the 2025-26 school year will begin earlier than usual, on Wednesday, August 13. You can find the full 2025-26 calendar, along with the approved 2026-27 calendar, on our Calendars page.
Thank you again for a wonderful year. I hope the summer ahead brings rest, fun, and time to recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for another exciting year of learning together.
😎 Warmly,
Dr. Matthew S. Haas
Superintendent
Important Reminder!
Just a quick reminder—next year’s school calendar includes an earlier start date. The first day of school for students this year is Wednesday, August 13. This shift supports best practices for learning and aligns with other local school divisions.
Please take a moment to review the 2025-26 School Calendar (available in English and Spanish) and consider any adjustments needed for summer plans.
Thank you for your partnership in preparing for a great start to next school year!
