Referendum
As you probably already heard, both the Operating and Capital Referendum passed on Wednesday evening. This is a great win for Red Clay. Thank you for supporting our students!

School Climate Survey
The Delaware School Climate Surveys are designed to provide schools with a brief, useful measure of school climate. The surveys assess a critical aspect of school climate – how students, teachers/staff, and parents perceive the school environment. They measure perceptions of relationships among the school community members (e.g., teacher-student relationships, teacher-parent relationships, and student relationships), school safety, and fairness and clarity of rules and behavioral expectations. The surveys include a supplemental scale to measure positive and punitive disciplinary techniques and techniques targeting social-emotional competencies.
Clean Stream Champion
The Great Schools, Clean Streams contest is now open through March 15, 2024!
Clean water starts at home – the little changes you make can improve water for our health, our pets and wildlife. Many of New Castle County’s waterways are polluted and much of it comes from what we do in our own homes and yards. You can be part of the solution to improve New Castle County’s water by pledging to help with these 5 easy steps.

Cold Weather
The weather is getting colder. Please send your child in with a coat every day. We will be going outside for recess daily.
Also for the students who bring Chromebooks back and forth to school daily please do not leave your Chromebook in the car overnight. It can damage the battery and the screen.
Thank you!
First Avenue
Richey Families,
Due to safety concerns, as of October 23, 2023, we are asking parents to no longer park on First Avenue closest to the school. No one was injured but we want to ensure that we are keeping our students safe as they are walking from school to home.
This street does not have sidewalks and our students have to walk in the street while cars are traveling in and out.
Please assist us with keeping our students safe as they are dismissed from school. You may park in a different location or you are able to join our carline.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to Mr. Johnson or Ms. Burrows.
