Public Notice for E-Learning
Lincolnshire-Prairie View District 103 will host a public hearing Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. regarding an E-learning plan for students on days school is closed on a temporary basis due to emergencies, such as dangerous snowstorms, power outages, or water breaks.
The purpose of this hearing will be to seek input concerning the provision of the School Code allowing for E-Learning days in lieu of closing schools and using an emergency make-up day as amended by Public Act 101-0012. Section 5/10-20.56 of the School Code contains the minimum requirements to ensure staff and student participation in an E-Learning day, which will allow the day to be counted as a day of student attendance. A copy of the plan will be available on the district website on the Board of Education Agenda and Minutes page on Friday, June 14, 2024.
The District 103 school board meeting will start immediately after the hearing has concluded at the District Office located at 111 Barclay Blvd., Lincolnshire, IL 60069. The school board is to vote on the E-Learning plan after the public hearing.
