E-Learning Handbook

This handbook will take effect on E-Learning Days only. Remember those are already in the calendar, are for inclement weather or short closures only. Currently our first E-Learning day will be October 22nd.

Remote Learning

This handbook will take effect if we have an extended COVID closure. Administration will let you know which handbook to refer to when the closure happens. Here is the link: Remote Learning Handbook

Recess Equipment Bags

Last year, each room had a set of items kids could play with at recess. Since the playground is zone free, I did not purchase these again. If you still have a bag, you are more than welcome to send it out if you want, but you will need to put a couple of students in charge of the bag and the items, so they get get picked up and brought back.

School Improvement and Data

DIBELS - 8/23 - 9/17

8/23 - 8/24: All of 2nd grade will be testing

8/25 - 8/26: All of 1st grade will be testing

Week of 9/7 - 9/10: Kindergarten will be testing


NWEA - 8/23 - 9/10

Grade chairs, please remember to put your testing dates on the SES Calendar.


Data Meetings

BOY data meetings will be scheduled, ideally, within 48 hours of the end of assessments. Cindy will be in touch.


School Improvement Plan and Comprehensive Needs Assessment

The leadership team (grade chairs, Aaron and I) have met to look at data and have examined a comprehensive needs assessment to determine goals for our school improvement plan. The goals will fall in line with the SES Strategic Plan shared with certified staff on Wednesday the 4th.

Building Reminders

Room Clean Up for the Evening

We are a team at SES! Please help our custodial staff by having kids stack up chairs and set them off to the side, and pick up the floor. A suggestion: at the end of the day, play the mystery trash game - pick out a piece of mystery trash and give a small prize or incentive to the winner who finds your piece of mystery trash. Hint: Don't give it away too early!


Need Q-Tips, Vaseline, and Band-Aids?

In an effort to limit visits to the nurse's office, please stop by Aaron's office for some supplies. If a students lips are chapped or need band-aids, you can give that to them.


HVAC Construction and Badges

We have several construction workers in the 5th/6th grade hallway. They are supposed to be wearing badges, if they are not or you see someone you don't recognize, alert the office. Adults that don't work here should NOT be in the building!


Fabric/Curtains

If you have curtains or fabric that you have brought into your rooms, put in a custodial ticket to get them sprayed for fire protection.


Breakfast in the Classroom

Breakfast in the Classroom is a grant funded program. If you mark a student off for taking a breakfast, they have to take what constitutes as a meal. There is an info sheet in the breakfast coolers that come to your room for reference.


Calling 911

We are still working on calling 911 on the new phones. Please plan to use your cell phones if we have an emergency.
