Happy Summer, Hollinger Families. We look forward to welcoming students back on August 1st. Please review the updates in this newsletter and know that we are continuously looking to improve learning opportunities for our families. Hollinger is getting ready to welcome everyone back! Our custodians are deep cleaning floors, our office is open and ready to greet you and we are ready to start a great year of learning and supporting our students and their families!

For the first quarter we will be offering

• MS Girls volleyball
• MS Boys Basketball
• 4th and 5th grade flag football

All participants must turn in a completed Sports packet, including a physical signed by a physician AND pay the $30 fee. The physical forms are attached here, and you can collect printed copies in the Hollinger Office. If you would like to apply for assistance with the $30 fee for Middle School, please complete this online application that is linked below.

Attached is a the flyer with the information for Pre-Participation Physical Event that will be happening on Friday, July 26 from 1p-5p at the University of Arizona’s indoor football facility. Please remember to have their forms filled out prior to the event to expedite care. This event is sponsored by the Banner’s Game On Foundation providing these physicals for free to any K-12 student for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

Coaches will be contacting families regarding practice schedule as soon as they are cleared to begin practice.

This is a very important board approved document that explains how behavior is managed in all TUSD schools. We will be holding information sessions to help all families understand how we support students and a positive learning environment at Hollinger. Feel free to review and let us know if you have questions.

8:25 am-2:40 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

8:25 am-1:40 pm on Wednesdays

Please note that we currently do not have any after school programs or care. Students must be picked up at dismissal time

Middle School Grades 6,7,8

8:25 am-3:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

8:25 am-2:30 pm on Wednesdays

Thursday August 1, 2024 is the first day of the 2024-25 academic year.

Please note that August 21, 2024 is a professional Development day for staff and there will be NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS on this day.

When arriving at school, students are able to enter through the North gate at the end of 8th Ave. or the South Gate that is near the visitor parking lot on Ajo Way. These gates are open at 7:50 am each day and are staffed by campus security and Hollinger staff. At 8:30 these gates are locked and any students who arrive tardy must enter through the main office. Students should not enter the school through the gate near the front office unless they are arriving by school bus or they are arriving after the other gates have been closed.
