Principal's Message

Dear Nord Families,

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Walter G. Nord School, thank you for your continued support this past school year. Our students' successes are a direct result of our valued partnership.

Remember, the last day of school is a two-hour early release! Nord will begin dismissal at 1:10 on Thursday, May 30th.

Student Chromebooks

As we near the end of the school year, we want to inform you about an important update regarding our Chromebook policy. This summer, 4th through 11th-grade students will take home their district-provided Chromebook for summer break. This new Chromebook plan will promote continuous learning and ensure that your child can access educational resources over the summer months. See the infographic below for tips about summer Chromebook care.

Our IT support team will be available throughout the summer to address any technical issues that may arise. Our Technology Department can be reached at 440-988-1907. Please remind your child to bring their Chromebook back to school on the first day of the fall term. We appreciate your cooperation and partnership in promoting continued learning and academic success!

2024 Camp Fitch Information for Rising 5th Graders

All fourth graders received this 2024 Camp Fitch Information Packet last week.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the 5th grade Camp Fitch trip, please contact Mrs. Jen Henry (jennifer_henry@amherstk12.org) or Mrs. Erin Kinser (erin_kinser@amherstk12.org) via email or call the main office at 440-988-4441. Lunch Accounts

As the school year winds down, please monitor your child(ren)'s lunch account(s) to make sure they have enough money to purchase breakfast and/or lunch. You can add funds, as well as monitor their account(s) at www.payschoolscentral.com. Please have all negative balances paid before the last day of school.

Your child(ren)'s balance will roll over to next school year, so any remaining funds will be on their account at the beginning of the 2024-25 school year.
