Parents, the annual window for Gifted and Talented (GT) referrals will open from December 1 - January 17 for students currently in Kindergarten and December 1 - January 31 for students currently in grades 1-12.

GT services are provided for identified students in grades K-12.

• Students currently in kindergarten who are identified for GT services will begin services in February 2025.

• Students currently in grades 1-11 who are identified for GT services will begin services in the fall of 2025.

• The decision of the GT placement committee will be sent to parents via email the first week of February for students currently in kindergarten and the first week of June for students currently in grades 1-12.

January Guidance: In January we will focus on responsibility, caring, and

communication. We will practice these skills in groups using board games. Board

game play promotes many skills such as: learning to manage self control,

positive communication, improve focus, problem solve, regulate emotions

and practice getting along with others.

January is Mental Health Awareness month: It is a time to recognize the

importance of mental health and take steps to care for yourself. The beginning of

a new year is a good time to evaluate how we care for our own mental health.
