Grizzly Gazette
Back to School Edition 24-25
Welcome back, Greenwood, to the 2024-2025 school year!
It is with great excitement that I write this welcome back gazette as Greenwood’s principal and I know this will be a fantastic year here at Greenwood. As a new member to the Greenwood community, I am eager to meet all the faces that make up our school. Staff have been busy getting things ready and I am so excited to see students in action soon and get to know your families. As a partner in your student's education here at Greenwood, it is important that you always read the Grizzly Gazette to stay informed!
Our first day of school is Monday, August 26th! This is a half day of school with dismissal at 11:25am.
While the external portion of our building will be finished up in the next several weeks, the new office and inside portions are ready for our students. See below for new procedures now that we are in the new entrance.
We are so excited about two great events the week before school starts! See attached flyers and below for details!
In partnership,
Reba McNally, Greenwood Principal

New Main Entrance - See Map!
Our office has officially moved to the new main entrance! Please use this entrance when arriving at Greenwood for an appointment/volunteering. If you are coming for a short time, please park in the few spots near the new entrance. The bus loop can be used for parking from 8:30-2:30 ONLY.
Arrival & Dismissal - See Map!
Greenwood students line up at grade level assigned doors around the building. Please see the map below for grade level specifics. Please remember that parking in the bus loop on Elmdale is prohibited during arrival and dismissal.
Arrival line supervision begins a few minutes after 8:00am. For safety purposes, please plan for your student to arrive at school between 8:05am and 8:13am. Greenwood staff asks that students arrive as close to the 8:13am bell as possible as students will be lining up outside in all types of weather. We will only pivot to indoor line up in extreme weather conditions.
If your student is not enrolled in latchkey, please have a plan in place for your student to be picked up each day at 3:19.
Free Lunch & Breakfast
All students have access to free breakfast and lunch, every day! Breakfast will open at 7:45am in the cafeteria before school begins each day. Please have your student in line by 7:55 if they are having school breakfast. Students should enter through the 5th grade entrance on the above map for breakfast.
