These will be included in a special Veterans Day presentation at school.

Garden Update: Planting and Preparing for Winter! 🌿
This past week, our students have been hard at work in our school garden! We focused on two essential tasks to keep our garden thriving through the winter: moving leaves and planting camas bulbs. 🍁🌱
First, the students worked together to move and spread leaves, insulating the garden beds for winter. As these leaves decay, they’ll enrich the soil with valuable nutrients, ensuring that our garden is well-prepared for new growth in the spring.
Next, the kids planted camas bulbs—these native plants are not only beautiful but are also important for supporting local ecosystems. By getting their hands dirty, our students are connecting with nature and learning about sustainable gardening practices.
Take a look at the photos to see our students in action, working together to make a difference in our garden! 📸
Exciting CO2-Powered Race Car Event at Oakland Bay Junior High! 🚗💨
Mr. Sells' engineering classes recently held an exciting event that combined creativity, engineering skills, and a little friendly competition! Students have been designing and building CO2-powered race cars, putting their engineering knowledge and problem-solving abilities to the test. After weeks of planning and refining their designs, the students gathered for a thrilling race to see whose car could zoom down the track the fastest.
This hands-on project allowed students to explore key concepts like aerodynamics, propulsion, and design optimization, all while having a blast. The activity showcased the students' hard work, creativity, and collaborative efforts in engineering a sleek and speedy vehicle.
We’re proud of all the students who participated and showed such enthusiasm for their projects. Kudos to Mr. Sells for inspiring the next generation of engineers and making learning an exciting and unforgettable experience! ✨
