The Power of Punctuality
Being on time and attending school every day might seem like small habits, but they have a big impact on success. Consistent attendance helps students stay on track with their academic and social development.
When students arrive on time, they start the day focused and ready to learn. Missing just a few minutes of instruction can lead to gaps in understanding, making it harder to keep up. Likewise, frequent absences can cause students to fall behind academically and socially, making it more challenging for them to be on the same level as their peers.
Simple steps like setting alarms, preparing school materials the night before, and maintaining a regular sleep schedule can make mornings smoother and reduce the risk of being late or absent.
Let's make every day count by making attendance and punctuality a priority.
Middle School
Mr. Reeves, the sponsor of the Middle School STEM Club, is proud to share that the team recently competed in a challenging event with 23 different STEM-focused activities. These events covered a wide range of topics including anatomy, experiments, crime solving, and creating experiments using mystery materials. Formed in late October, the team had the opportunity to sharpen their skills in science, technology, engineering, and math. Competing against 17 teams, AATF earned several impressive awards: 9th place in Crime Busters/Forensics, 9th place in Experimental Designs, 8th place in Meteorology, 8th place in Reach for the Stars/Astronomy, 6th place in Road Scholar/US Maps, and one student earned 6th place for building their own wind turbine!

School Experience
Eleanor Brown and her friend Ariana Gonzales painting (for the school experience painting with Mrs.Raza).
They had so much fun! Eleanor even taught me a new trick at putting stars in the sky. They were so chatty and I loved it. They were truly a treat. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.
FFA
This month many of our students have been working hard to prepare for the start of fair season. Whether it's completing record books, making posters, or practicing showmanship, a lot of work has been put in. Good luck to all exhibitors showing at the fair this year!
At our January FFA meeting, our recreational activity was a skillathon station competition. Officers from our team set up stations on different projects and our advisor did a cheese tasting table. Members learned about the animals and had fun socializing with their peers while learning.
This month we will also host our FFA alumni bowling tournament where families can come and bowl to raise money for our chapter.
