UPDATE: CHANGE IN NEWSLETTER AND COMMUNICATION
Everett Public Schools (EPS) has shifted to a new policy and procedure regarding communication to our families. Families will be receiving a monthly district newsletter sent centrally by EPS communication on the first Tuesday of each month. Each school will send their monthly school newsletters to families on the first Wednesday of the month. To align to this, we will be sending a full monthly newsletter on the first Wednesday of the month, and for subsequent weeks for the month we will send an abbreviated Tiger News that includes the calendar sections only (for important reminders and upcoming events).

If email is not possible, please call 425-385-4705 to report the absence. Please make sure there is an email or a written note within 30 days after your student returns to school.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Student safety is our number one priority. Please help us make sure our students arrive and leave safely from our campus.
- If using the carline, please make sure you stay in your car and follow the line to staff helping assist get students to the cars. Be patient as this week our Kindergarten families start and will be using the Kindergarten gate at the end of the carline lane for drop-off/pick-up. DO NOT PARK ON 23RD STREET ALONG OUR FENCE. This is a waiting line, do not cut in front of nor park inside the line. Enter the line from Walnut Street.
- If you are walking or have parked and are coming to pick up your student, please note there are lanes for picking up students which are marked by the gate signs. 1st grade line is on the far west side facing the gate and the 3rd grade is farthest east side. Use your car tags for fastest dismissal. Hold your sign up with student name, grade level and teacher. Ask the office or your student's teacher if you need a new tag.
Thank you!

You can also call our main office (425) 385-4700 and they will direct to whomever can help you with your needs. We are here for YOU and we will help you in any way you need. Garfield Spirit Wear! - INFORMATION COMING SOON!
Garfield PTA
Hello Garfield families! School is officially back in full swing for our 1st through 5th graders. It was wonderful seeing so many of you at our back-to-school night on August 29th. We also loved connecting with our kindergarten families during Everett Ready!
MEMBERSHIP: We love to have our families not only join us at meetings and events but to also be members! If you haven’t already signed up at one of our recent events, you may do so by visiting our sign up page. All memberships and membership benefits are available from the day you sign up until June 30, 2025.
CONTACT: We love connecting with our families so never hesitate to chat with one of us if you see us around campus. We also welcome our families to reach out to us on our Facebook page, or via email at any time.
NEXT MEETING: Our next meeting will be on Thursday, September 26th from 4-5pm in the Garfield multipurpose room and over Zoom. If you want to get involved with PTA but aren’t sure how, or you just want to see what all the buzz is about, this is a great opportunity to come meet your board and ask any lingering questions you might have. Our meetings occur monthly and while we encourage all our families to be members, it is not required to attend our meetings, but it is required if you would like to vote on any items that come up.
At our first meeting, we’ll discuss all the fun events we have planned for the school year. These events are only possible because of the help of our amazing volunteers. Consider becoming a district-approved volunteer so you can join us in the fun!
Meeting Sept. 26 4-5pm
