Bully Prevention and Awareness Month
October is Bully Prevention and Awareness month. Students participated in Unity Day on October 16th by wearing orange to raise awareness to prevent bullying. Students created unity links with their Crew Buddies and shared how they can be INCLUSIVE and CARING towards others. The orange links are displayed in Adventure's library as a visual reminder for our commitment to have a bully free commUNITY.
Halloween Parade and Classroom Parties
Adventure students will celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 31. All PK-6 students are invited to come dressed in school-appropriate costumes (no masks, no fake weapons or blood). There will be a costume parade at 8:15 and families are invited to join us in the gym to watch. Classrooms may have celebrations following the parade, see information from your child's teacher for more details.
Extracurricular Clubs Update
We are aware that not everyone who wanted to participate was able to join this semester due to space constraints. Our program will continue to expand now that it is up and running and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work out glitches that come with any new program. This round of programming lasts up to Winter Break. A new round of extracurriculars will begin in mid-January.
As always, reach out to Xochi for more information: RuizX@mapleton.us or 303-853-1445.

PIE Volunteer Corner
Get Involved! Help us help the students!
This week, a big special thanks to Claudia (Iker and Emily's grandma)! She's been busy at work behind the scenes, creating the beautiful Hispanic Heritage display pictured here, collecting students' autographs on thoughtful posters for our classified employees, and preparing signs for Trunk or Treat. Mil gracias, Claudia!
Our next PIE meeting is Friday, November 15 at 8:15. Please join us! The group will be planning a Thanksgiving food drive and a December winter crafts event.
