Last Week of School- Final Exam Bell Schedule 6/3-6/5

Happy Sunday! I trust that you are enjoying a wonderful weekend with family and loved ones. The countdown continues- four school days left!
Also, as a reminder, Final Exams will begin on Tuesday, June 3rd and conclude on Thursday, June 5th for Grades 9-11. We will be on the Final Exam Bell Schedule for all 3 days. Please note Wednesday, June 4th is not a late start.
Here are some specific details regarding Final Exam procedures and protocols.
- In order to maintain the integrity of all students’ learning environment, we will minimize disruption during class exam time and protect the testing environment.
- Please remember that we will be unable to call students out of class during Final Exams, so please plan accordingly.
- Please make sure your student is on time and prepared each day.

Corona-Norco Unified School District is committed to ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and valued, regardless of their immigration status. We understand that current National Executive Orders may create uncertainty for some of our families, and we want to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all.
Our District adheres to Board Policy 5145.13 for Response to Immigration Enforcement, which ensures:
- Non-discrimination: We celebrate the diversity of our students and provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all, regardless of immigration status, race, religion, or any other factor.
- Safe School Environment: In the absence of a judicial warrant or court order, the law generally prohibits schools from voluntarily granting access to campus by immigration enforcement officers.
- Confidentiality of Student Information: CNUSD does not collect or share information related to a student’s or their family members’ immigration or citizenship status.
To further support our families, the State of California has launched a new website to provide centralized information on protecting immigrant families, especially those with mixed immigration status. Families can access this resource at: Immigration and California Families.

CNUSD Cell Phone Policy

The Corona-Norco Unified School District's Board of Education is legally and ethically responsible for the establishment of classroom and campus environments that are conducive to an orderly and productive educational program. It is the intention of CNUSD to maximize the potential of all students by ensuring that instructional time is focused and free from distractions. To achieve this, CNUSD has implemented the following cell phone policy.
The following minimum standards shall be enforced in the Corona-Norco Unified School District in order to meet the requirements of the California Code of Regulations regarding cell phones on school campuses.
Expectations for High School Students:
1. When entering the classroom, students will turn off or silence and put away their cell phones, earbuds and other smart devices.
2. Students are not to have their phones out while walking through the hallway during class time.
3. Students are not to have their cellphones out of their backpacks or on their person when using the restroom

CAMPUS SAFETY
HUSKY VERIFIED? It is a district-wide expectation that all ALL students and staff have their physical campus-issued ID card visible on their person while entering and walking around school. (electronic copies will not be permitted).
DROP-OFFS
For safety and security purposes, any and all personal items, including food (snacks, lunch, etc.) and sports equipment will need to be brought to school by the student, before the bell rings. Drop-offs of these items during the school day will not be permitted. If you have medical supplies or medication deliver to the school, please call and schedule an appointment with the nurse to review details and prescription guidelines.
HALL PASSES
All students are required to have a paper copy of the campus-printed hall pass when they are outside of their classroom. It must be dated, time-stamped, and signed by their teacher. Students found truant, roaming the hallway, or skipping class will be issued progressive discipline (Saturday School, ACP, suspension, etc.).
STUDENT SIGN-OUT/EARLY PICK UP
Please keep in mind when scheduling your appointments that ALL students must be signed out prior to 3:00 pm. After 3:00 pm school staff will be unable to accommodate parent/guardian requests for early student dismissal/checkout as they position and prepare for campus-wide dismissal.
STUDENT RELEASE/SIGN-OUT PROCEDURES
For safety, security, and liability reasons, students will only be released to adults who are listed in the student's emergency contacts in Parent Connect. The parent/guardian/emergency contact MUST present an original hard copy of a government-issued ID. NO EXCEPTIONS

DRESS CODE
The Corona-Norco Unified School District's Board of Education is legally and ethically responsible for the establishment of classroom and campus environments that are conducive to an orderly and productive educational program. Therefore, the CNUSD Board Dress Policy will apply to ALL Centennial High students.
LUNCH
For the 2024-25 school year, breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided free of charge to all students. Also, please remember that food, drink and personal item drop-offs are prohibited before and during the school day. NOTE: To keep the focus on instruction and learning, ALL vending machines will be inaccessible to students during class time and the last two minutes of each 7-minute passing period.
CELL PHONES/ELECTRONICS
The use of ALL electronic devices in the classroom is managed at the teacher’s discretion. All earbuds/headphones, etc. should be powered down and stored during instructional time. Cell phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices may only be used when permitted by the teacher. Students who choose not to cooperate with a teacher's classroom electronic use policies may have their cell phone or devices confiscated and turned into the admin office. The office staff apply the standard confiscated items protocol which may require a parent/guardian signature to return the item to the student after the school day. NOTE: The admin office closes daily at 3:50 pm.

Parking Permits
If you are interesting in applying for a Parking Permit, you will need pictures OR pdfs of the following documentation: Student Driver's License, Vehicle Registration, Vehicle Insurance.
Note, if you submit your documents with expired or incorrect information, you will not be eligible for a permit, or your permit may be delayed. Due to the ongoing construction of the Centennial Aquatics Center, parking spaces are limited. Here is the LINK to fill out the form! You will need to be logged into Google and students must use their school email. Please know we are doing our best to process the permit applications! Students will receive notifications regarding parking through their school email!
