Summer Outcall @Lincoln
August 2, 2024
Dear LJHS Families-
Dear Lincoln Families,
We wanted to send you a friendly reminder about Locker Jam next week. PLEASE read the information below very carefully. We are excited to see all of our students and looking forward to an amazing school year.
We are actively working on our students’ schedules and teams for this upcoming school year. Please be aware that schedules and teams could change and will not be finalized and posted until Monday, August 5th, at 3:00 p.m. Students' locker information will also be available at this time. Transportation information will be posted on August 8th at 3:00 pm.
Student Locker Jam
During the Locker Jam sessions, students are able to pick up their pre-ordered school supplies, walk their schedule, and locate and arrange items in their lockers. PLEASE ensure students bring a printed copy of their schedule.
Please note: If your student(s) will be out of town during the Locker Jam sessions, don’t worry! We will allow those students access to the building from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 13th, or after 7:00 AM on the first day of school, August 15th. It is imperative that students bring a copy of their schedule to school for the first several days so they learn the sequence of their schedule and memorize their locker combinations. We suggest that a copy of each student’s schedule be attached to their Assignment Notebook, which will be given to each student on the first day of school, to ensure it doesn’t get lost.
Printing Schedules
Students will be able to print out their own schedule in Infinite Campus starting on Monday, August 5th at 3:00 PM. Once you view your schedule, you can print it by clicking on Reports and then select “schedule with locker and combo”. Students need to bring their printed schedule with them to Locker Jam. You will not be able to view the locker combinations on your cell phone, so a printed copy of their schedule is required. Please click on this link for directions on how to print the schedules with the locker combination.
Nurse's Office
The health office will be open and accepting medication drop-offs and sports physicals on Tuesday, August 8th during Locker Jam. In addition, the office will be open the rest of that week. As a reminder, in order to dispense medications at school, proper documentation from the physician must accompany any prescription or over-the-counter medications. Please click this link for further information and to access the form.
PE Uniform
Boomer T’s is our vendor for PE shirts. If you have not had the opportunity to order, please do so by clicking this link.
Fees/Registration Documents
As a reminder, fee’s are now due. Families may drop them off during Locker Jam. Please complete the fee sheet and mail it to Lincoln Junior High School, 1320 South Olympus Drive, Naperville, IL 60565. For your convenience, there will also be a drop off box located in the front lobby of the school. All checks should be made payable to School District 203. A penalty charge of $25.00 will be assessed for each returned check, and the NSF check will be sent to a collection agency for collection. Start of Our School Year
On Monday, August 12th, Tuesday, August 13th, and Wednesday, August 14th, the building will be CLOSED. These days are teacher workdays. The last opportunity for students to set up lockers and walk schedules prior to the start of school will be on August 13th from 3-4 pm. This time has been reserved for families who have not had the opportunity to attend the previous week.
Cell phones will not be allowed during the instructional day. Students are expected to have their cell phones turned off and must keep them stored in their lockers during the school day. Students can utilize their cell phones after they exit the building at 2:50 p.m. If students need to make a call during the day, they can do so by using the phone in the main office.
School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, August 21st during PE classes. All students must have their photo taken as it will be used on their ID and uploaded into Infinite Campus. The photography vendor, Visual Image Photography (VIP), will not be mailing picture forms this school year. They will email you when your images are ready to view online. Or, you can search for your gallery at vipis.com shortly after photos are taken. Picture retakes will be on Tuesday, October 1st.
We are looking forward to seeing all of our students soon. We will be providing the LJHS community with additional information next week.
