On May 6, 2024 Amberwell Health came to ACCJSH to help with physicals for the 2024-2025 school year. Physicals were opened up to 6th grade through 11th grade and had 58 students take part in getting their physicals. On Friday, May 10th Amberwell came again to administer the Impact Test to give to students in 6th, 8th, and 10th grades. We had over 60 students complete the Impact Test.
A participation survey was sent out last week to all students in the 6th through 11th grades to get preliminary numbers on participation in sports and activities. So far we have almost 90 students reponses. Preliminary numbers will be shared in the June Board Report.

Senior Banquet and Baccalaureate
On Wednesday May 8, 2024 the first annual Senior Banquet was held to honor each graduating senior. Each senior was announced and recognized with future plans, school accomplishments, and academic achievements. A meal was prepared by Big T BBQ and the senior class parents. Office Alex Moore presented Dani Chew and Avery Sutley with the Helping Hands Scholarship. After the banquet the graduation class moved to the auditorium for this year's Baccalaureate presented by the Atchison County Churches. ACCHS Alum Emily Wagner was this year's guest speaker who shared life lessons with the class of 2024. Senior parents Jamie Swendson and Lori Lanter also spoke about things they have learned throughout their adult life and gave encouraging words to the class of 2024. The ACCHS Soundmasters sang a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace and the audience was also entertained by the ACCHS Tiger Band. After the ceremony, the area churches provided each senior with a New Testament and refreshments for all guests.
