The School Board received testimony from Roxanne Tersteeg, Erik Skogquist, James Tjaden, Shannon Fox, Mikki Paul and Laura Lucarelli.
ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION
Resolution in support of the district’s application to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's safe routes to school grant program
Greg Cole, chief operations officer and B.J Ison, director of transportation presented to the School Board the resolution in support of the district’s application to the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s safe routes to school grant program to support the Dayton Elementary pedestrian improvement project. This project includes construction of a center island and flashing lights on Diamond Lake Road, separate parking lot and bus entrances to narrow the crossing distance, and paving the walking paths to the neighborhood north of the school. The resolution was passed on a 6-0 vote.
