Week In Review and A Look Ahead
September 27, 2024
Notes from the Principal
Our first dance of the year is tonight. For our new 6th grade families, it is important to note the drop-off and pick-up procedures. We will have signage out front to help and we ask that drivers follow our expectations and time frames to ensure an efficent process. Students are allowed to have their cell phones with them at the dance, but are expected to keep them out of sight during the evening and may not use them to take pictures. Please note the following:
Important Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information
Drop-Off:
- All students should be dropped off at the back entrance by the gym. Students should have their ID. Those without their ID will enter the dance after the rest of the students enter.
- All students must arrive by 7:15. Students who receive special permission from Mr. Maoury or Mr. Marsch may ask to arrive by 7:30. No students will be admitted after 7:30.
- Dances begin at 7PM. Students should not be let out of their cars until the dance chaperones signal they may do so.
- Please do not arrive until after 6:50PM.
- Any car that arrives before 6:50PM should park in the back parking lot and wait in order to prevent a back log on to Rt 73.
Pick-Up: DRIVE SLOWLY WHEN EXITING!
- Students will be dismissed out three entrances. When picking up students in multiple grade levels, please pick up at the highest grade level location.
- 8th grade will be picked up in the front loop.
- 7th grade will be picked up on the side tennis court lot.
- 6th grade will be picked up in the back by the gym.

Congratulations to Peyton McCloskey in 6th grade, Sophie Long in 7th Grade, and Amauri Carpenter in 8th Grade.
After School Homework Help
After School Homework Help (ASHH) is back and beginning Wednesday, September 25th. The program will run Wednesdays and Thursdays through mid-May on "normal" school days (no Early Dismissal days).
ASHH is a time when students may stay after school and work on schoolwork from 2:40 to 3:45 PM every Wednesday and Thursday. The students will have supervision and academic support from several teachers: Mrs. Melchiorre, Mrs. Lutz, and Mr. Howard. Students must have transportation home at 3:45PM and will be dismissed to the front loop at the main office entrance/exit. Students do not need to sign up ahead of time, however they MUST make sure they have a ride home at 3:45PM. Students staying for ASHH report directly to room 321 when second run buses dismiss at the 2:40 PM bell.
