Dear Wickman Families,

As we enter the second trimester of school, it's wonderful to see our Wickman scholars taking pride in their learning. I enjoy talking to students about the how great their opportunities are at Wickman Elementary School. I have to admit I can be a bit dramatic in saying things such as, " When your feet cross the threshold of our campus, you are entering a place where all of your dreams start to take shape. It's your opportunity to start building your future so take advantage of every opportunity."

I remind them as they enter school to get their mind and body ready for learning.

I truly believe that elementary schools are small communities that allow students to learn how to function in larger communities ahead.

I'm extremely thankful to work with a staff that is professional and dedicated.

Our attendance trophy is back home!!

Let's keep making illness the only reason for absences. If we can maintain our attendance rate we'll earn a schoolwide pizza party. Wouldn't that be a fun treat. We've off to a great start. Thank you top our families that are making school attendance a priority.

the PLATINUM level. Your school is a recipient within the California PBIS Recognition

System, reflecting excellence in the implementation of the core features of PBIS."

The photos below show the results of Wickman's Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) and The California Dashboard Overview.

Our district and school uses this data to monitor our progress towards meeting the needs of each of our students. We also use this information to determine our next steps in our ongoing goal to better serve the students at Wickman Elementary School.

I'm attaching a survey below to get you input regarding our current PBIS systems of support.

7:20 AM Breakfast begins

7:30 AM- Entrance Gate opens for students grades 1st - 6th to enter campus

7:50 AM- School instruction begins and gates close. If you arrive after 7:50, please come into our office to sign-in your child.

2:30 School dismissal (Mon. Tues. Wed. & Fri)

11:20 School dismissal every Thursday

Kindergarten

Please walk your child to the kindergarten gate by 7:40am. Teachers will meet you at the gate at 7:40 to bring the students into class.

Kindergarten Dismissal is at 11:10 daily.

Kindergarten lunch at school is optional. Parents wishing to participate in lunch, please walk your child to the office after dismissal and we will direct your child to the lunch area. Parents will need to wait in our office area as their child eats their lunch.
