“O, God, Bless us in our endeavours.
Help us face all the challenges and guide us towards the path of success.
May we make new friends and create rapport with others.
May we learn something new each day and be a better person with your help. Amen”
Dear Parents and Carers
Many thanks to all the families who attended the Open Night last night. The work displayed in classrooms was of an outstanding quality. The teachers and students are to be commended on the variety of work and the effort put into preparing the displays. The support for your child and the classroom teachers was overwhelming and obvious from the numbers observed in classrooms. It was also a great sign of the quality of education on offer at St Columba’s. A big thanks to staff for giving up time to have classrooms open so that families could visit and view their child's work on display.
A big thank you must go to Mr Chatt for all the work that he has put into organising our upcoming Field Day tomorrow and the Athletics Carnival being held next week. It is a very demanding and exhausting event to organise. I know that the day will flow very smoothly and will provide much fun and excitement for our students.
We are celebrating Korean Day next Tuesday and I know that Mrs Kang has planned some wonderful activities for the day. It has become a highlight on our school calendar. I would like to thank Mrs Kang for all of the preparation and organisation for the day.
The School Colour Fun Day is being held on the last day of the term. Information has been sent out to families today from the school office. The P&F is to be thanked for supporting the day through funding and the organisational efforts of Gemma, Bree, Felicity, Zoey and Julie from the St Columba’s P&F Committee. I am sure that the students will have an absolutely fantastic time during the event.
Please find attached insert from parenting educator Michael Grosse. It is titled: When Things Go Wrong At School.
God Bless and keep safe.
