FROM THE PRINCIPAL
What a wonderful week it has been at Bourchier!
Last night’s junior production was truly something special. Our students brought the circus theme to life with so much energy, creativity, and joy. From the Magicians, clowns, and everything in between, it was clear just how much effort they put into their performances.
I want to thank everyone who came out to support our young performers, it was awesome to see the smiles on everyone’s faces. A special thank you to Dani Williamson, our production coordinator, whose vision, organisation and hard work made the evening a great success. Moments like our production make me proud to be part of such a wonderful school communit.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to see many of you at our Father’s Day Breakfast tomorrow morning. From 7:45am, we’ll be serving up bacon and egg rolls to all those who RSVP’d. It’s always a great way to start the day, sharing a meal and some quality time with our dads and father figures. I hope you all enjoy this opportunity to connect and celebrate the important role that fathers and father figures play in our students’ lives.
I also want to acknowledge our Senior students, who have just wrapped up another successful season of Winter Sport. It’s been fantastic to see them giving their all in soccer, netball, football, handball, and tee ball. They have represented our school well! Thank you to the coaches and teachers who have supported them throughout the season.
Thank you all for your continued support and involvement in our school community. It’s your engagement that makes our school such a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow.
Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead!
ROAD SAFETY ALERT: KEEP OUR STUDENTS SAFE
Recently we have received some reports of near-misses involving young children near the school. This serves as an important reminder to all parents and carers to be extra vigilant when it comes to road safety. Please make sure you are always watching your children closely, especially around busy areas like school crossings.
We have also noticed that some people are getting out of their cars while stopped at the school crossing. This practice is extremely dangerous and poses a serious risk to everyone’s safety. We urge all parents and carers to be cautious, adhere to all road rules, and ensure the safety of our students.
Let’s work together to prevent any accidents. Remember, the safety of our children is in all our hands.
"BOURCHIER BIG TOP" JUNIOR PRODUCTION A BIG SUCCESS

The energy in the room was high, and it was clear that everyone had a fantastic time.
A big thank you to all the families for their support and to everyone who contributed to making this event a memorable one. We look forward to more amazing moments like these in the future!

ATTENTION JUNIOR SCHOOL
Preventing the spread of Ilness in School
As the cold weather arrives, so do coughs, colds, stomach bugs and other respiratory illnesses.
It is important that we practice good hygiene, such as washing our hands, hand sanitiser, and using tissues when we cough or sneeze.
If your child is away due to sickness, please update their absence via our Compass App.
Arriving to school on time
Arriving to school on time is crucial for both students and staff. It sets a positive tone for the day, ensures that you don’t miss important instructions or activities, and demonstrates respect for the school community’s time and schedule. Here are a few tips to help ensure timely arrival:
1. Prepare the night before: Lay out clothes, pack your bag, and prepare lunch the night before to avoid morning delays.
2. Set an alarm: This will help give you ample time to get ready and commute to school.
3. Stay organized: Keep track of your schedule and any special activities or events that might require you to arrive earlier than usual.
Being on time helps create a structured and efficient learning environment for everyone involved.
If you’re picking your student up early
If a parent/guardian needs to pick up their student early from school for an appointment or any other significant reason, please notify your child’s teacher or the front office, with as much notice possible.
Often students are in a specialist program or out of the classroom, so if no notice is given it puts pressure on the office staff when trying to find students whilst answering phones and tending to sick bay.
Please be mindful as we have quite a few students leaving school early which interrupts the classroom as well as their learning time so please avoid this when possible.
PARENT PAYMENT AND STATIONERY FOR 2024
Parent payment can be made via QKR
Parent payment $220 per student
Excursion Levy $80 per student
If you have a Health Care Card and claimed CSEF, you will receive $150 credit which can be used for camps and excursions only.
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
All children are expected to wear full school uniform
The wearing of school uniform helps children develop a sense of identity with the school community.
The school uniform helps promote a positive image of both students and the school to the general community. The wearing of school uniform promotes equality.
The school uniform is to be worn during school hours, while traveling to and from school, and when the students are on school excursions.
All school uniform must be clearly named so that lost items can be identified.
Jackets and hats can be purchased from the school. Shepparton retail shops stock the entire uniform. The school endeavors to provide pre-loved items at the cheapest possible cost.
Please refer to our Student Dress Code Policy
