Dear Parents/Carers,
Another week has flown by!
On Monday we were delighted to invite families into school for Open classrooms. The children were thrilled to show off their learning and I’d like to say a big thank you to the adults in class for being so welcoming. If you were unable to attend but would still like to see your child’s work, books will be available at parents’ evening.
Science week has been a huge success. Children have been doing all sorts of weird and wonderful experiments around school, culminating in a wonderful sharing assembly yesterday. There were PowerPoints and even the odd rap! Many thanks to Mr Symes for organising and the staff for getting on board.
Forest school has started with Year 4 today and will continue into next week for the other year groups. As this week has definitely shown us, the weather is incredibly unpredictable so please ensure your child is well prepared. Having heard some of the plans, I know they are going to have a fabulous time!
This morning I had a meeting with the lovely people at RJC who are hoping to do some work with school as a community project. As soon as I have more information, I will let you know the details.
Thanks as always for your continued support.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mel Walmsley
