Cornerstone March Update
Stone Soup
Stone Soup for Everyone!
At Cornerstone, our goal is to establish relationships with families so that students are prepared for the journey ahead. Parenting can be very challenging – we know. Our hope is that Cornerstone can help you navigate the schools – and life, and find community resources to make it a little easier.
In March, second grade students at Lintott Elementary School recently performed the mini-musical, "Stone Soup" and they did a great job in their performance! To give families a chance to make their own stone soup at home, Cornerstone staff provided learning kits for every single student's family. The learning kits included recipes for stone soup and all the necessary ingredients. Take a look at all the second grade cooks in the photos below:
Getting Ready For Kindergarten
The transition from pre-school to kindergarten can be a major step for young children. To help parents prepare their children for their first day of “big kid” school, the Chehalis School District is planning three BIG Kinder events:
- Kindergarten Kick-off - April 11
- The Kindergarten Carnival - July 20
- Kindergarten Camp - July 24 and 25
Mark your calendars and help us spread the word! Learn more about these events on the Cornerstone website. Use the button below to visit:
