Drop Off and Pick Up Map for Union Park
Please be patient as the first few days of school are about learning routines! Follow the arrows painted in the parking lot and look for crossing guard or staff directions within the parking lot. Kindergarteners and their siblings are released at 2:50PM. From 2:50PM-3:00PM kinder parents get priority to the pick up lane in front of the school and the lane is marked accordingly. At 3:00PM the 1st- 8th grade parents can move into the pick up wait line and move forward with traffic. Please see map below.
Baseball and Softball Season
We are so excited for the start of Baseball & Softball Season this year! Tryouts will run from August 12th- August 16th from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Students will meet in the Multipurpose room to start. If you are interested in playing any sport, please complete the following paperwork and upload it into Register My Athlete. All paperwork will need to be completed before tryouts begin. Lunch visitors must be on the student’s approved check out list as submitted by the legal guardian, in powerschool. All visitors must sign in at the school office and get a visitor badge before going to the cafeteria. No siblings are permitted during any lunch visits.
The school principal or their designee, at their discretion, will have the authority to cancel lunch visits based on any issues they feel could impact their ability to provide a proper and safe environment. School rules will be followed by visitors. These will include designated wait areas, instructions for meeting your student, no photographs or social media postings.The Principal will have the authority to suspend or revoke lunch visit privileges at their discretion.
Once successfully checked in, proceed to the cafeteria. Your student will meet you as their class enters the cafeteria. We ask that you sit at the designated tables marked "visitor table" with your student. After lunch, please come directly to the office and sign-out.
There are a limited number of dates throughout the school year when lunch visitors are not allowed. Please plan your lunch visits on days other than those listed below:
Early Release Days:(PLC Fridays)
Half Days October 17-18, February 13-14 (Parent Conference Days)
March 24-April 25:(State Testing Window)
May 9: Last day for lunch visitors

The Deer Valley Unified School District is providing a device protection plan for students and parents utilizing take-home devices. Enrollment in the plan is optional with the understanding that if students/parents do not enroll in the protection plan they may carry full liability for the student device (iPad or Chromebook) in the same way they do for other damaged or lost school property, such as textbooks.
