IN CASE YOU MISSED IT - Lunch Visitor Change - IMPORTANT
I am disappointed to share that after the recent Fire Marshall inspection, we will no longer be able to have tables around the library for lunch visitors. It is considered a fire hazard. In the event of a fire, the tables might block people from getting out safely.
We are waiting to hear if we can have at least 4 tables in the main hallway in the cut out section of the hall by the bulletin boards. If so, there will be tables there for four families to use. The rest of the visitors will be in the cafeteria. We have added some tables around the perimeter of the cafeteria, for lunch visitors and their children to use.
Due to this change, all visitors will need to abide by the rules of the cafeteria. If an adult is talking, everyone in the cafe will need to be listening.
We will have rules posted.
Thank you for your support and cooperation with the change.
Thank you again,
Wendi Vaughn

City of Flower Mound Summer Opportunities
Flower Mound Track and Field Team
Each year the Town of Flower Mound has a summer youth track and field team. This team introduces boys and girls to track and field, and provides a positive and fun training atmosphere to experience the thrill of competition and teamwork.
See more information on the picture.
Flower Mound Youth Football Academy
Flower Mound Youth Football Academy that is promoted by the head coaches at FMHS and Marcus, as well as FM town leaders. The FMYFA is working in conjunction with LISD to build a youth program that develops our students and prepares them for when they reach middle school and high schools sports. Every community around us already has a program like this and finally Flower Mound has it. This is similar to what Southlake does as a feeder program and they have had great success. This also builds community involvement for our students. Coach Robbie Waters is the FMYFA President, he is a former FMHS and MHS coach and a current administrator at FMHS. With just a few weeks left of school before summer break we are just trying to inform as many parents as possible so those that have interest can get their child signed up for the camps that will be held at FMHS and MHS over the summer.

LISD Bond Election
This spring, the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to include a Bond Election on the May 4 ballot. Registered voters residing within Lewisville ISD boundaries will be asked to consider a total of three propositions that would generate additional funding to conduct maintenance, repairs and renovations at athletics and recreation facilities across the district. Even if approved, the LISD tax rate WILL NOT change.
Lewisville ISD residents will vote on the propositions during Early Voting, beginning April 22 through April 30, and on Election Day, Saturday, May 4.
