Have children and feel you can’t work out after work?? Now you can drop them off and check out our WPR Child Watch! Our regular hours are 3:45 - 7:45pm. Membership and reservation through our signup system is required. Reserve your spot today!
Brick Garden
WPR is creating a brick garden in front of the Recreation Center. The first round of bricks have been ordered. The construction of the garden will begin by the end of August with an estimated completion time of mid-September. If you missed ordering in May, the next order will be placed October 1. Order bricks here!

Cook With Us!
Learn how to safely water bath can your food to preserve them. Preserving foods for your pantry is a great way to stock up for your family and extend the bounty of your garden harvest or save your bulk purchases from spoiling. Everyone will walk away with one preserved jar of goods. Date: Monday, September 16 @ 5 - 7pm. Fee: $30. Ages: 16+. Register by September 9!

Painting P-art-y - Watercolor Mountain Sunset Layers
This adult painting class is for beginners and seasoned painters alike. You will be taken step by step through a watercolor mountain sunset layers painting to take home and enjoy. Learn about mixing techniques and layering effects, no previous knowledge is necessary. Our art instructor directs you through the painting process to help bring out your inner artist. Everyone will walk away with a painting. No need to bring anything with you, except your creativity!
Date: Wednesday, September 18 @ 6:30 - 8:30pm. Fee: $25. Ages: 16+. Register by September 16!
This art class will focus on sand art. We will pour different color sands to create different pictures and layered art. By using color theory and symmetry, students will design their own unique layouts and designs.
Date: Friday, September 20 @ 1 - 2:30pm. Fee: $25. Ages: 6-13. Register by September 17!
Swim With Us!
The Aquatic Center will be using a new system for our Open Swim reservations starting September 1! We have fall open swim times during the week and on the weekend! Experience the thrill of our diving board, conquer our climbing wall, and navigate the exciting Wibit Bridge. Check out our hours and reserve your spot here!
Trade your legs for fins and live out your dream of being a MERMAID/MERMAN! In this class participants will learn to properly and safely swim with a mermaid tail, perform mermaid tricks, and learn about mermaid mythology. Ages: 10 & up. Fee: $120 Dates: September 16, 18, 23 & 25 from 5:30 - 6:30pm
We still have spots open in our Stroke Clinic! Join our USA Swim certified coaches for a 3-day clinic! Perfect your technique on swim strokes, turns and starts. Grades: 6th - 12th. Session will run September 7, 14, & 21 @ 11am - 1pm! Fee: $60
We have openings in Night Owlz! Register your child for a fun night while parents take a well-deserved break from 6 - 9pm! Your child will have the opportunity to splash around in the pool, play games, create arts and crafts, and enjoy a movie to end the night. Pizza, juice, and pudding will be served for dinner. Ages: 7-10. Fee: $25. Date: September 20.

Drop-In Basketball, Pickleball, or Volleyball
The Recreation Center has designated “Drop-in” times to play Basketball, Pickleball, and/or Volleyball. During those times, areas are reserved and set up for this specific sport play, however, during “Open Gym” anyone who has paid for entry into the Recreation Center may use and access the gym for any sport or activity. We post a Weekly Gymnasium Schedule on the Recreation Center page of our website so you can stay in tune to when the space is available.
Time to get your volleyball on! Our annual COED Trick-or-Tourney in October and COED Turkey Tourney in November are open for registration.
Only $150 per team with a 3 game guarantee. Winners take home holiday themed prizes!
Come learn the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in America! We are offering 2-day lessons for $40! Sounds like a great dill! Register for our beginner or intermediate lessons! Adult Pickleball “Skills and Drills”
If you want to focus on specific pickleball skills, then this program is for you! Improve your Footwork and Strategy or Serving and Groundstrokes in a small, group environment! These sessions are perfect for the player that just wants to hone their skills. Registration deadlines are the Sundays before each scheduled Tuesday session. Limited spots available!
Time to get your teammate and sign up for our pickleball league on Monday mornings. Registration fee is $30 per player for 18 games. League registration deadline is October 20. It’s kind of a big Dill! League begins on November 6.
This program gives youth the opportunity to participate in cross country meets against other youth in Colorado. Meets will be held on Saturdays at locations from Denver to Fort Collins (participants are responsible for transportation to and from meets). The season will last from September 3 to October 12. The program is for boys and girls ages 5-16. Weekly practices TBD at Widefield Parks and Recreation.
Registration ends September 1. Fee: $40.
Basketball Skill Development Camp
Register for a basketball camp at WPR. We will provide skill development opportunities through drills, games, and instruction. The camp will take place at the Recreation Center Tuesdays and Thursdays on October 22 - 31. Boys and girls camps for 6th, 7th, & 8th graders. Register by October 17. Fee: $30.
This is a great opportunity to learn and develop fundamental soccer skills in a fun environment with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.
Coed Soccer for ages 4 years through 5th grade.
The games will take place from October 26 to December 7.
Register by October 6. Fee: $40 (5 games)
Youth Volleyball League
This is a great opportunity to learn and develop fundamental volleyball skills in a fun environment with an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.
For grades Kindergarten - 5th Grade.

Register by September 29. Fee: $50 (7 games)
Tiny Tykes Soccer
A FUNdamental program that teaches basic soccer skills while focusing on motor skill development, balance, coordination, concentration, listening skills, and teamwork of players ages 2-5. Sessions run Saturdays August 10 - September 14 at Windmill Mesa Park and Saturdays October 25 - December 7 at Watson Jr. High

Personal Training
Book our new one-on-one personalized Personal Training sessions (1-hour sessions). We have 5 different packages you can choose from starting at $188 for once a week sessions for one month. See our registration page for full pricing details.
We also offer a one time, free 30-minute Personal Training session where you can meet one of our personal trainers, discuss training methods, your goals, previous experience and any questions you may have! Register online now!
We now offer a small group package (2-3 people) for a total of $260. This package allows a small group to workout together with one of our Personal Trainers, once a week for four weeks. Workout with friends and save money!
Martial Arts - September & October
With martial arts as a foundation, participants have the opportunity to develop self-awareness and self-confidence. GOJU-RYU KARATE is a comprehensive martial art derived from the Okinawan system of self-defense. Participants of all skill levels can benefit from this program by relieving stress, help with weight loss, coordination, balance, flexibility, stamina, and assist in self-control. We do recommend you come in to observe a class prior to registering to make sure this style of class will fit your needs. Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays in September and October @ 6 - 7:30pm. No class September 2 (Labor Day). Ages: 7 and older. Fee: $127.50. Location: Recreation Center Fitness Room 2
High School Training Camp - September & October
High School Athlete Off-Season Training camp available for all high school students and athletes. The program is designed to develop and maximize the athletic abilities of all young students and athletes. We will be incorporating speed training (specifically explosive speed and ground force development), flexibility, agility training, and reactive training (both linear and lateral speed). We will also take time to discuss basic sport nutrition. Dates: Saturdays, September 7 - October 12 @ 10 - 11:30am. Fee: $45. Location: Meet at the Recreation Center Fitness Room 1
Yogi Kids - September & October
An introductory youth yoga class with focus on relaxation, fun, and movement! Yoga is a great activity to start at a young age; it enhances flexibility, strength, coordination, body awareness, and confidence. Dates: Wednesdays September 4 - October 23 @ 5 - 5:45pm. Grades: Kindergarten - 5th. Fee: $48. Location: WPR Rec Center Fitness Room 1
Get Certified With Us!
Blended Learning CPR & First Aid
This is a blended learning course that includes an online portion (approximately 4 hours) and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Each participant must have a unique email address to obtain credit for the course. Please do not use the same email address for multiple registrations. Date: Saturday, September 21 @ 11am - 1pm. Ages: 11+ Fee: $75. Register by September 12.
Improvements to our Main Campus and Parks
New Widick Turf Field
The Widick Turf Field is complete. The primary purpose of the field is to support our youth and adult sports programs. When not in use by WPR and WSD3 schools, the field is available to use like all of our open space. Formal organized activities by outside groups require a field reservation permit. Please read and adhere to the rules and regulations posted on signs at all entrance gates.
