MISD Bond Information Sessions
MISD residents are invited to join us for an information session to learn more about the five propositions for Mansfield ISD that will be on the ballot this May. Join us to find out what this election means for our schools and the community.

Mansfield ISD Bond 2024: No Tax Rate Increase - Vote May 4
The Mansfield ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously in January to include a Bond Election on the May 4 ballot. Registered voters residing within Mansfield ISD boundaries will be asked to consider a total of five propositions to maintain and update existing buildings and programs, and expand spaces for career and technical education, early learners, fine arts, and athletics. The $777 million bond will not increase the MISD tax rate. Mansfield ISD residents will vote on the propositions during Early Voting, beginning April 22 through April 30, and on Election Day, Saturday, May 4. Visit mansfieldisdbond.com for more information.

Linda Jobe MS Teacher of the Year: Congratulations, Mrs. Barron!
Lauren Barron, 8th ELA Teacher and Student Council Advisor, was named The Linda Jobe Middle School Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Barron began her career as an educator 15 years ago and has been at Linda Jobe Middle School since 2016. During her time at Jobe, she consistently advocates for all students and "works hard to find solutions to help every student know they are special". In addition to serving as an English Language Teacher, Mrs. Barron has served the last 8 years as Jobe's Student Council Advisor. As an Advisor, she has made profound differences in our students' lives and provides both inspiration and practical tools that students need to succeed. Mrs. Barron was named the 2023 - 2024 Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) Middle Level State Advisor of the Year. We are so proud to have Mrs. Barron represent Linda Jobe MS so well Congratulations to this incredible educator who was nominated by her peers! Mrs. Barron will be recognized at the 2024 Mansfield ISD Employee Recognition Banquet.
Jobe AVID College Visits
We are thrilled to share the incredible experiences our AVID students have had over the past month. Here's a quick recap of our recent AVID field trips:
AVID 8 Trip to Tarleton State University: Our eighth-grade AVID students had an enriching experience visiting Tarleton State University. They had the opportunity to explore the campus and learn about the academic programs offered.
AVID 7 Trip to Dallas Baptist University: Our seventh-grade AVID students embarked on an exciting journey to Dallas Baptist University. During their visit, they immersed themselves in the vibrant campus atmosphere and gained valuable information about college life.
AVID Ambassadors Presentation at Donna Shepard: Our dedicated AVID Ambassadors took the stage at Donna Shepard to share their passion for academic excellence and college readiness. Through inspiring presentations and personal anecdotes, they motivated their peers to embrace the AVID program and strive for success.
Jobe Choirs Receive Highest Honor
Congratulations to the Jobe Choirs on a successful UIL Sight Concert and Sight Reading Performance! All 3 UIL Choirs earned a "Superior" Rating in both Concert & Sight Reading, which means that all 3 choirs achieved UIL's highest honor - the "Sweepstakes Award!"

Jobe PTA Needs Your Help For Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
PTA would like to bless each teacher/staff with a $5 gift card during Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. We need 75 gift cards to cover the whole staff. Gift cards can be to anywhere you think the staff would enjoy. Amazon, Starbucks, Sonic, Seven Brew, Chick- Fil- A, and Target are among some of our staff favorites. Please turn in gift cards to the front office by April 26 or contact Sarah 801-631-3439. Don't have time to shop? That's ok, you can donate to our Square account and PTA will do the shopping for you.
Jobe PTA voted unanimously to support all parts of the 2024 MISD bond referendum. The $777 Million bond can be issued with NO TAX INCREASE due to the fiscal responsibility of our school district. PTA encourages you to attend the community information meeting at Jobe on March 7th at 6pm. Can’t make it? There are other community information nights!

Reminders!
Requesting Assistance for Broken/Damaged Devices
If your child has lost or damaged the district-issued laptop/Chromebook, charger, case or bag and you would like to purchase another one, please complete this form. Please be sure all fields are complete and accurate. Once MISD receives your request, the payment will be added to your child's Skyward account. After the fee is paid in Skyward, a replacement adapter/case/bag will be given to your child. Allow for 48-72 hours for processing.
Drop Off/Pick Up Reminders
Please read these important reminders about dropping off and picking up your students.
Both Morning and Afternoon: Drop off/pick up is in the front of the building (not the back or side).
Both Morning and Afternoon: Students should walk bikes and skateboards across and should not ride them in the crosswalks or on school sidewalks.
Both Morning and Afternoon: Do not stop in the crosswalks.
Mornings: Drop-off is one lane against the curb for safety reasons. There is NO second lane drop off in the mornings.
Mornings: Please pull forward past the front door to drop off your student, and do not stop in the crosswalk.
Mornings: If you need to drop items off, please park in the parking lot. The parking lot is reserved for handicapped parking, and those needing to park.
Afternoon: Pickup is two lanes, the third lane is for passing only. Please see this link for a map of afternoon pickup procedures.
Afternoon: The lane closest to the curb should pull forward past the front door to pick up students. This helps move traffic through the lines.
Afternoon: The second lane stops before the crosswalk leading to the front doors of the school. (This is the second crosswalk.)
Afternoon: Please do not park on the street or on private property to pick up your student.
Afternoon: The parking lot is reserved for handicapped parking, and those needing to park in the afternoons. There is no pickup from the parking lot.
Dress Code Reminders
Student IDs are mandatory and must be visible at all times.
Halter, tube, midriff, top with large armholes, and spaghetti straps (3-finger length on the strap) are not allowed.
Pants must be worn that fit at the waistline line.
Leggings, yoga pants, spandex, or tights must be worn with fingertip-length shirts.
Pajamas, bathrobes, and or sleepwear are not allowed.
Holes in pants, skirts, etc. cannot be above mid-thigh.
Dresses, skirts, skorts, and shorts length must measure fingertip length front to back all the way around while sitting and standing.
House shoes or shoes with wheels are not allowed.
If a student’s grooming or clothing violates the school’s dress code, the student will be given an opportunity to correct the problem at school. If not corrected, the student may be assigned to in-school suspension for the remainder of the day, until the problem is corrected, or until a parent or designee brings an acceptable change of clothing to the school. Repeated offenses may result in more serious disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
