Kindergarten Screening/Registration and Birth to 3/3-5 Year Old Screening on April 3-4
We are busy getting ready to host this year's Kindergarten Screening/Registration and Birth to 5 Screenings on April 3-4 at the Miller United Methodist Church. If you have a child who will be turning 5 before September 1, 2025 please sign him/her up by calling Laela at 605-853-2711. There will also be information in the Miller Press in the coming weeks. Speech/Language, Hearing, Vision, General Concepts, and Fine Motor Skills will be assessed. The screening provides valuable information for parents and school personnel. We also conduct screenings for children under the age of 5 for families who have concerns about any of the areas we are evaluating.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Boomsma-Kelsey by calling 605-853-2711 or sending an email to jennifer.boomsma-kelsey@k12.sd.us

Third Grade Class Split
We are excited to share that the current third grade class will be split starting in the fall! The school board, administration, and staff have discussed this for quite some time, and the decision has been made to have two sections of 4th grade in the fall. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. B-K. We advertised for a second grade teacher because Mrs. Haigh will be returning to third grade in the fall. We are excited for these changes!
Vocal Contest to be held on March 29
Our fifth and sixth grade students are preparing for our vocal contest by practicing their vocal skills. This is a great event that showcases the musical talent we have in our school! I hope you can attend!
We will host a Lego Expo in April with details to come!
Thank you for saving your receipts!
The receipts keep pouring in; thank you! When you shop at Kessler's please drop your receipt in the box at the store or turn it in at the elementary or HS office. Kessler's will donate 1% of the funds back to the school!

Thank you for the support of your children and your attendance at conferences. My motto as students and staff attend school each day is to "make someone's day better". As spring gets closer and the weather gets nicer, it is easy to maintain a positive attitude and lift others up! Thank you for being such valuable teammates for us concerning your child's education!
