Annually, The College Board National Recognition Program awards academic honors to high-performing students. These awards include specific awards given to underrepresented students. To be eligible to receive these awards students:

• Must be in the top 10% among PSAT test takers in their state;

• Must have a GPA of B+ (equal to at least 3.3 or 87%-89%) or higher; and

• Must identify as a first-generation college student, attend high school in a rural area, or identify as a member of an underrepresented race/ethnicity.

Congratulations, Raiders!

Start With Hello Week is a national program that aims to create a sense of belonging and social connections among youth. It's led by the Sandy Hook Promise organization and takes place every September. At SISD, the Counseling Services Department leads this effort.

The program's goals include: Teaching students how to recognize signs of social isolation, Increasing inclusivity and empathy among classmates, Promoting kindness and acceptance, Ending loneliness, and Helping students build connections.

If you are a voter that is 65+ years old and/or disabled - under state law, the dollar amount of school taxes imposed on the residence homestead of a person 65 years of age or older cannot be increased above the amount paid in the first year after the person turned 65 or is disabled. You must apply for this exemption.

As a district, we have implemented GoGuardian as an Internet filtering and monitoring tool in our

classrooms to improve student focus and engagement as well as adding another layer of

protection for our Raiders while they utilize classroom technology.

As part of this initiative, we are putting the GoGuardian Parent mobile app in your hands. This app

will give you monitoring and insight over your child's Internet activity while on school-managed

devices and accounts as well as filtering capabilities on school-managed devices and accounts

outside of school hours.

Welcome to your BRAND NEW PTA exclusively for the students, teachers and parents of Sunnyvale Middle School and High School!

In order to meet the demands of our growing Student Body and Teacher populations in the school district, we have formed a brand new PTA that focuses solely on the Middle School and High School campuses. When you join this PTA, 100% of your funds will be used exclusively on events, engagements, and activities at these two schools.

If you are a parent or teacher reading this, we want you to know that we see you and hear you. We know that you are emotionally invested in the children at these schools. And we know that we can only exist as an organization with your support, not just financially, but also emotionally, spiritually, and physically. To be frank, we NEED you.
