Good Afternoon CLMS Families!
Welcome to the latest edition of our Cardington Lincoln Middle School newsletter! We are excited to share updates and events happening within our school community, including our enthusiasm for Homecoming Week. This year's festivities promise to bring school spirit and a sense of togetherness, and we can’t wait to celebrate with students, staff, and families.
In addition to Homecoming news, we are also providing important updates on our recent state report card results and what they mean for our academic progress. CLMS Classroom Highlight- State Report Card
We are thrilled that Cardington Lincoln Middle School has earned an overall 4-star rating on the state report card! This indicates that our students and staff are exceeding state expectations! This accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families. While we celebrate this achievement, we remain focused on continuous improvement. Our next steps include enhancing instructional strategies, providing targeted support to students who need it most, and fostering a growth mindset across all grade levels to ensure even higher levels of success in the future.

Homecoming Festivities
We are excited to kick off this year’s Homecoming festivities and bring our school community together to celebrate with spirit and pride! From fun events to school traditions, Homecoming Week promises to be a memorable experience for everyone. The annual Homecoming Parade will be held on Wednesday, October 9 at 6 PM. We are also participating in Spirit Week next week! Our days are listed below!

CLMS SAIL Program Returns Tuesday!
LOOKING FOR A FANTASTIC, FUN and FREE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUR CHILD?
CARDINGTON SAILING begins Tuesday, October 8th!!
Beginning October 8th, Cardington Middle School's SAILING, "Students Achieving Independent Learning In Necessary Growth," program begins. This will provide 5th - 8th grade students with a safe and FUN opportunity! Our program includes opportunities to enrich academics, making social connections, and practice team building skills ...all while having FUN!! This program is funded through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Learning Center Grant making it FREE for our families! The program will begin October 8th and is open to Cardington Middle School students. A completed registration packet is required to participate.
Where: Cardington Middle School
When: Monday - Thursday from 2:30 to 5:30 pm
Who: Cardington Middle 5th - 8th grade students who have completed registration
What: Daily tutoring in math and reading, Character and Career activities, and a healthy snack!

Paper copies of the registration form are available in the middle school office. Please submit your registration form to your child's homeroom teacher or to the Middle School Office.
PROGRAM CAPACITY IS TENTATIVELY SET AT 60 STUDENTS. IF MORE THAN 60 STUDENTS APPLY, PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO DEMONSTRATE ACADEMIC NEEDS BASED ON MULTIPLE FACTORS INCLUDING WEA SCORES, OST ASSESSMENTS, AND TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS.

2024/25 District Calendar
Don't forget that we will have a 2-Hour Late Start on Wednesday, October 9th for staff professional development. Middle school students will be able to enter the building at 9:15 am.
Also- There is no school for students on Monday, October 14th!
The Mobile Dentist
The mobile dentist is scheduled to come to the middle/high school on October 31st. See the image below for more information. Registration can be done online using the link below or you can complete the paper form and return it to the CLMS office.
