Eccles Updates
Greetings Eccles Families!
On behalf of our staff I can’t thank you enough for buckling up and taking this strange ride of schooling over the past three months with us. We appreciate so much all of your efforts to continue your children’s learning at home.
We hope you have a wonderful summer and we are looking forward to taking back over the role of acting as your child’s primary teacher next Fall!
Take Care,
Mr. McKean
Furlough Days
Due to a projected budget shortfall related to the current state of the economy, Canby will be furloughing five days between now and the end of the year. Please see the link below to see how this will impact the final weeks of the 19-20 school year.

Staff Leaving
At the end of each school year, it is typical for some staff members to move on. Either retirement, relocation, or simply a different path can call them away. Traditionally we have the opportunity to honor these staff members and send them off with some form of acknowledgement as well as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions.
Sadly, this year is different. We have a number of staff members that will not be returning next year and we are disappointed to not be able to give them a proper goodbye as a school community.
Mrs. Adams - Thank you for listening. You supported so many of us when we felt sad or angry. You taught us that it is ok to feel our feelings and how to manage all of our emotions in a healthy way.
Mrs. Ansen - Thank you for caring. You gave us so many great ways to understand our brain and helped us to express our thoughts and ideas when we weren’t sure how.
Ms. Cavanaugh - Thank you for connecting. You connected the things we learned in the classroom in both English and Spanish for us. You helped the content to make sense and turned on the lightbulb of our thinking.
Mr. Haaga - Thank you for teaching. For so many years you have shaped so many minds with care and kindness. Thanks for your dedication and sacrifice!
Regards,
Mr. McKean
