Balance is Best
Body, Mind, Heart & Spirit
Last week we talked about Sharpening the Saw by focusing on the mind. This week we are going to look at how to take care of our soul/spirit.
Filling the Pitcher
One thing that helps sharpen our soul is to help others. However, if we don't fill ourselves, then we are not as good at helping others. Read the following sentences and see if these are things that you do.
- I read books that I enjoy.
- I listen to music that I enjoy.
- I spend time outside.
- I have goals.
- I spend time with my family and friends.
What are some other ways that you can fill up your pitcher?
What are some things that you can work on?
Make a list of things that don't help you sharpen your saw.
Example:
I stay up too late and then I am grumpy.
I eat too much junk food.
I play video games all day and don't get exercise.
Choose one to work on this week! Tell a friend or family member what your goal is and ask them to check on how you did.
