Hello McPherson Families,
It's important to honor and remember those who have made sacrifices for our country. Memorial Day is a time for reflection and gratitude. As we transition into the busy season of year-end academics and activities, let's also take a moment to enjoy the weekend and recharge. Whether it's spending time with loved ones, enjoying the outdoors, or simply taking a moment for yourself, I hope you have a restful and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!

Library Check in Information
PLEASE TURN IN MATERIALS AS FOLLOWS:
Kindergarten through 5th grade
Wednesday, May 29 - All library books must be turned in to the library.
6th and 7th grade
Monday, June 3 - All Textbooks and library books must be turned in
8th grade
Monday June 3 - All textbooks, library books, and devices must be turned in. School laptops must be turned in. 8th grade students will be given a form and time to return materials during PE. This form will need to be signed by the librarian and our health clerk for material check-in and absences to be cleared. This form must be turned in to the front office for the 8th grade student to be able to promote.

McPherson PTSA association meeting has been canceled for May 29. We will have our first meeting of the school year on September 25 and we would love to see you there!
As the school year is wrapping up we have a few more events to end the school year:
Talent Show - McPherson's Got Talent! Come out and support our amazing students in the Talent Show on Thursday May 30th 5:30- 7:30. Our students have been practicing and are very excited to show off their talents. This is a free event!!!
Donuts with Dad - Let's celebrate our Dad's on Friday, May 31, at 7:30am. With Father's Day coming after we break for Summer, we want to make sure all the Dads feel the love before the end of the school year. Light breakfast will be provided.
Wild Rivers - Tickets will be on sale until Thursday May 30th. See Information in newsletter below.
National Mental Health Awareness Month
May in National Mental Health Awareness Month – It is a time to raise awareness of the importance of Mental Health in addition to Physical Health and help reduce the stigma surrounding asking for help. Please see the attachments for family activities and resources that you can do anytime. You may also reach out to the counselor, Ms. Keiser, with any questions.
McPherson Girl Scout Troup for Kinder & 2nd Grade
McPherson is welcoming more girls for the McPherson Girl Scout Troops. Troop# 3221 is for Kindergarten and Troop #3218 is for 2nd grade. Join with an 18-month membership and kick off the summer with friends and fun. Please open the attached flyer for membership information.
McPherson Wild River Tickets Now Available for Summer Fun
Come join McPherson at the water park! McPherson will be kicking off the summer with a day at Wild Rivers on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
We have secured discounted tickets, the price is only $35 per person (3 years and older) and family & friends are welcome!
This IS NOT a drop off event. All children must be supervised. Parking is an additional fee.

iReady Reports are now Digitally Available for Your Students
We now have the ability to share the i-Ready Diagnostic results for your students digitally, which will allow you to know how your students are doing. Parents will now have digital access to the For Families report after logging in to your student’s i-Ready dashboard and entering our district report code HLKLPV on the top right-hand corner of the For Families tab. Please open the attached flyer for detailed instructions.
T-Dap Required for all Students Entering 7th Grade in 24/25
REMINDER - If your 6th-grade student has not turned in proof of the T-Dap vaccination before they enter 7th grade next year, they will not be able to register nor attend school until their T-Dap proof is turned in. Please make sure you turn in your T-Dap vaccination record before your student enters 7th grade for the 24/25 school year.
