Dear NDAA Family

We are entering the third week of the school year, and every day we witness with excitement the commitment of our teachers and staff to ensuring that our students receive the best Christian education at NDAA. The dedication of our teachers and staff to our school and students is grounded in the love they have for our students and the work they do as followers of Christ. With this love, we can provide a great education for our students because, as Ellen G. White said, “Love, the basis of creation and of redemption, is the basis of true education. This is made plain in the law that God has given as the guide of life” (Education, p. 16).

Students will be attending a field trip to the Perot Museum on the following dates:

• Kindergarten - 2nd Grade: September 9, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• 3rd Grade - 4th Grade: September 12, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

If you are interested in being a chaperone, please contact your child’s teacher. Kindly ensure that your Sterling Volunteer background check is complete. Please note that we have a limited number of chaperone spots available.

We are excited to celebrate our wonderful grandparents! Please join us on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 8:15 AM for a special event in their honor.

Ensure that student in athletics maintain all passing grades (from A to C-). Ds and Fs are considered failing grades. Continued eligibility will be determined every week on Monday morning. If a student athlete is deemed ineligible on Monday morning, the student will not be eligible to practice or play for that week. If a student has two consecutive weeks of ineligibility, the student will lose their team position.

Before School Care

7:00 am to 7:55 am on Monday to Friday

School Starts

School starts promptly at 8:00 am and dismisses at 3:30 pm from Monday throughout Thursday

School starts promptly at 8:00 am and dismisses at 2:30 pm on Friday

After school Care

3:45 pm to 6:00 pm from Monday throughout Thursday

2:45 pm to 4:30 pm on Fridays.

Chapel will be held on Wednesdays

Lower School 8:10 am to 8:40 am

Middle School 9:40 am to 10:20 am

Upper School 8:55 am to 9:35 am

Once students arrive on campus, they will be required to check in their electronic devices, including but not limited to computers/laptops, tablets, cameras, iPods, smartwatches, music-playing devices, headphones/earbuds, or any other devices, at the main office. When they leave campus, they will need to sign out their device(s). Students in violation of this policy will be fined $50 for the first offense.

We are excited to announce a fundraiser to support our athletic program, and we need your help! We have placed a clothing recycling bin at the back of the school. For every pound of items collected, our athletics program will receive a certain amount of money. This is a great opportunity to contribute to our school while also doing some good for the environment. The bin will be there throughout the school year. Whenever you want to get rid of old clothes, shoes etc remember about our program.

If you are interested in Volunteering at NDAA for field trips and events, please make sure you have your Stirling Volunteer updated and your account is associated with NDAA.

Please also note that the Texas Conference requires all volunteers to complete the Adventist Screening Verification training and background check once every three years.

We are looking for Substitutes Teachers for NDAA. If you know of a substitute that works well with students, please ask him/her to send their resume to jobs@ndaacademy.org or have them call the school at 972-234-6322.
